Alright, let’s talk about this Omnilux mask thing I’ve been trying out. Heard about it here and there, saw some stuff online, figured I’d give it a shot myself. You know how it is, always looking for something that might actually work without crazy procedures.

Getting Started With It
So, I ordered the mask, the Contour Face one. When it arrived, I unboxed it. Felt pretty decent quality, flexible silicone, not some stiff piece of plastic. Came with straps, the controller unit, charger, the usual stuff. First thing I did was charge it up fully, took a couple of hours.
Putting it on the first time was a little fiddly. Had to adjust the velcro straps to get it snug but not too tight. Wanted it sitting right against my skin like they say you should. Once it was on, I plugged it into the little battery pack controller and hit the power button.
My Routine and What I Did
I decided to stick to their recommended plan. That meant using it about 3 to 5 times a week. I aimed for 4 times mostly. Each session is just 10 minutes long, which is pretty easy to fit in. I usually did it in the evening after washing my face. Just plopped down on the sofa, put the mask on, and let it run while I watched some TV or just relaxed.
The light is bright, very red, when you peek, but with your eyes closed under the mask, it’s just like a warm, bright sensation. Didn’t hurt or feel hot, just… present. The mask itself gets a tiny bit warm but nothing uncomfortable.
What My Skin Was Like Before
Okay, so before starting, my main concerns were the usual things that happen as you get a bit older.
- Fine lines showing up, especially around my eyes and on my forehead.
- My skin tone just looked a bit uneven, kind of dull.
- Some general redness, particularly on my cheeks, that always bothered me.
- Skin didn’t feel as firm as it used to.
Nothing terrible, but enough that I noticed it and wanted to see if this mask could help out.
Seeing The Changes – The After Part
I committed to using it regularly for a good couple of months because I know these things don’t work overnight. For the first few weeks? Honestly, didn’t notice a massive difference. I kept at it though.
Around the 5 or 6-week mark, I started seeing subtle changes. It wasn’t like BAM, new face. It was more like I’d catch myself in the mirror and think, “Huh, my skin looks a bit… better today.”
Here’s what I noticed specifically:
- Redness: This was probably the biggest win for me. The persistent redness on my cheeks definitely calmed down quite a bit. My skin tone looked more even.
- Fine Lines: Some of the finer lines, especially the crow’s feet around my eyes, seemed softer. Not gone, don’t get me wrong, but less noticeable. The deeper forehead lines didn’t change dramatically.
- Glow/Smoothness: My skin generally looked brighter, less dull. It felt smoother to the touch too when I put on moisturizer. Maybe a slight improvement in firmness, but that was harder to judge.
So, yeah. I took some pictures before I started and then compared them after about 8 weeks. You could definitely see the reduction in redness and a general improvement in texture. It wasn’t a magical transformation, but it was a visible improvement. I kept using it past that point too, just maintaining the routine.
It’s simple enough to use. Clean face, put mask on, press button, wait 10 minutes, take it off, put on my usual serum or moisturizer. No real hassle involved. Just needs consistency. If you expect miracles overnight, this ain’t it. But sticking with it? Yeah, I saw some positive changes for my skin.
