Okay, so I’ve been a huge Barbra Streisand fan forever, right? And her style? Forget about it! Iconic. So, I got this crazy idea to try and, like, recreate some of her most famous looks. Not copy them exactly, you know, but just get the vibe.

First, I spent hours just looking at pictures. Old album covers, movie stills, concert photos – you name it, I was looking at it. I made a whole mood board, just to keep track of everything.
Digging Through My Closet
- Then, I dove into my own closet. Honestly, it was a mess.
- I pulled out anything that even remotely looked like something Barbra might have worn.
- Lots of black, obviously. She loves black.
- I found some vintage stuff I’d totally forgotten about! A couple of flowy dresses, a wide-brimmed hat, even some sparkly things.
Next, I hit up some thrift stores. That was an adventure in itself! You never know what you’re gonna find. I managed to snag a few really cool pieces that definitely had that Streisand feel. A long, velvet skirt, a pair of really dramatic earrings… It was awesome.
Putting It All Together
- After that, it was time to start putting outfits together.
- This was the fun part! I tried on a million different combinations.
- Mixing and matching, swapping things out, adding accessories.
- My room looked like a bomb had gone off by the end of it, but it was worth it.
I ended up with a few looks that I was pretty happy with. They weren’t perfect, but they definitely captured that Barbra essence. You know, sophisticated, a little bit dramatic, but still totally classy. I even took some pictures of myself in them. I even posted them on my other blog, not this one, of course. It was just a bit of fun, my little tribute to the one and only Barbra Streisand. It was way more work than I thought it would be, but it was fun. I should do these more often.
