Understanding the sabrina carpenter aesthetic: Your complete guide to her evolving fashion and style.

Alright, so I’ve been seeing Sabrina Carpenter’s style pop up quite a bit lately, you know? And I thought, okay, that looks kinda cute, maybe I can give that aesthetic a whirl. Seemed like a fun little project to try out myself.

Getting Started – Figuring Out the Vibe

First thing I did was just kinda scroll through a bunch of pictures. Trying to pin down what exactly makes it her style. It felt like a mix of things, really. Definitely girly, lots of pinks, whites, maybe some baby blues. Also noticed quite a few mini skirts, little tops, kinda flirty stuff. Sometimes it felt a bit retro, like early 2000s maybe? But also modern. And the hair and makeup seemed pretty key – like the blonde hair, sometimes with bangs, and definitely a signature makeup look.

Hitting the Wardrobe (and Maybe the Shops)

Okay, step one: clothes. I went through my own closet first. Do I have anything that fits this? Pulled out a couple of shorter skirts I hadn’t worn in ages. Found a white crop top that seemed kinda close. Tried putting them together. Looked okay-ish? But something was missing. Felt like I needed more specific pieces.

So, I did end up browsing online a bit. Not looking to spend a ton, just seeing what was out there. Found a couple of ‘baby tees’ – you know, those small fitted t-shirts? Got one in pink. Also found some platform sandals that kinda reminded me of the look. I figured those pieces might help pull it together more than just my random old clothes.

  • Tried combinations: Mixed the new pink tee with an old denim mini skirt. Better.
  • Platform shoes: Definitely added that specific vibe I saw in photos.
  • Dresses?: Saw she wears cute dresses too, but decided to stick to separates for now, felt easier to start with.

Tackling Hair and Makeup

This part was tricky. I don’t have blonde hair or bangs, so a perfect match wasn’t happening there. But I focused on the style. Tried getting more volume in my hair, maybe adding a slight wave. It… sort of worked? Didn’t look exactly like hers, obviously, but it felt a bit more styled.

Makeup was next. I noticed she often has winged eyeliner and a kinda glowy look with glossy lips. Okay, eyeliner time. I’m not the best at winged liner, gotta be honest. My first attempt was shaky. One eye looked okay, the other was… not so okay. Wiped it off, tried again. Got something passably even eventually. Added some blush, highlighter for that glowy thing, and finished with a pink lip gloss I had lying around.

Key makeup bits I tried:

  • Winged eyeliner (the struggle was real)
  • Glowy skin (highlighter helped)
  • Glossy pink lips

Putting It All Together – The Result?

So, I put on the outfit I’d landed on (pink baby tee, denim skirt, platform sandals) and checked out the hair and makeup effort in the mirror. Did I look exactly like Sabrina Carpenter? Nope. Not even close, ha! But did I capture a hint of that aesthetic? Yeah, I think so. It felt very girly, a bit playful, definitely different from my usual look.

Took a few selfies just to see. It looked cute in pictures, I guess. The overall vibe was there, even if the details weren’t perfect. It felt fun for a bit, like playing dress-up. Is it something I’d wear every day? Probably not the full head-to-toe look. The mini skirt and platforms aren’t super practical for my usual running around. But maybe the little top with jeans? Or just the glossy lip? Those bits felt more wearable.

Final Thoughts

Overall, it was a fun experiment! It’s interesting to break down a style and try to replicate bits of it yourself. Didn’t nail it perfectly, but enjoyed the process of trying on different clothes and playing with makeup. It’s a cute aesthetic, just maybe needs adapting to fit my own life and comfort zone. Worth trying if you like that girly, kinda flirty vibe!
