Unboxing the Sol de Janeiro Perfume Discovery Set: My Honest Review

Alright, so check it out, I finally got my hands on the Sol de Janeiro Perfume Discovery Set. I’ve been seeing this thing all over TikTok and Instagram, and honestly, I’m a sucker for anything that smells good. Plus, I’m always on the hunt for a new signature scent. So, I figured, why not? Let’s dive in!

Unboxing the Sol de Janeiro Perfume Discovery Set: My Honest Review

First things first, I ripped open the package like a kid on Christmas morning. Inside, you get a bunch of mini versions of their most popular scents. It’s a great way to try them all without committing to a full-size bottle, you know?

  • Cheirosa ’62 (Brazilian Crush): This one’s like, THE Sol de Janeiro scent. I sprayed it on my wrist immediately. Smells like pistachio, salted caramel, and vanilla. Super warm and inviting. Honestly, it’s kinda addictive.
  • Cheirosa ’68 (Beija Flor): Okay, this one is way more fruity than I expected. It’s got pink dragonfruit and lychee vibes. Definitely a brighter, more playful scent. It reminds me of summer, which is a plus since it’s freezing outside right now. Someone online said “If you prefer sweet fruity fragrances, the best is Cheirosa 68.” and I think they are spot on.
  • Cheirosa ’40 (Bom Dia Bright): This one’s a floral bomb! Black amber plum and vanilla woods. It’s a bit more sophisticated than the others, I think. I’d probably wear this on a date night or something. Floral fans would definitely dig this one, just like that person online said.
  • Rio Radiance: This one kinda surprised me. It’s got solar tuberose and coconut milk. It’s a little bit beachy, but not in a sunscreen way. It’s more like… a fancy beach vacation. Does that make sense?

So, I spent the whole day wearing each scent, one on each wrist, like a crazy person. I gotta say, they all smell amazing. But the real test is how long they last, right?

Longevity Test:

Okay, so here’s the deal. ’62 lasted the longest, for sure. I could still smell it on my skin after like, 6 hours. ’68 and ’40 were pretty good too, maybe around 4-5 hours. Rio Radiance faded the quickest, probably around 3 hours. I mean, they are body mists after all. Someone mentioned Sol de Janeiro’s mists cost $38 a bottle, which makes them significantly cheaper than perfumes, so I wasn’t expecting crazy staying power.

Final Verdict:

I’m obsessed! The Sol de Janeiro Discovery Set is totally worth it. I think I’m gonna grab a full-size bottle of ’62. It’s just so comforting and yummy smelling. ’68 is a close second though. I’ll probably wear that one when the weather gets warmer. I feel like I can confidently say I found at least one, maybe two new scents to add to my rotation. Plus, the mini bottles are perfect for travel. No more lugging around giant perfume bottles in my suitcase!
