Okay, so I’ve been digging into Tyler, the Creator’s fashion stuff, and let me tell you, it’s a whole vibe. I wanted to figure out how he built this whole fashion brand, Golf Wang, and everything, from scratch. So, I started by, you know, just browsing.

First I Looked at inspiration
- I started by watching a ton of Tyler’s old interviews and music videos.
- Checked his early designs with Odd *’s all very DIY, very loud, and colorful.
Then, I hit up the internet. I mainly watched his early designs and read some articles.
- I spent a good chunk of time just scrolling through the Golf Wang website and Instagram. Just soaking it all in, you know?
- Looked at the kinds of pieces they were dropping – the colors, the patterns, the whole aesthetic.
- Got a feel for the pricing, too. It’s not cheap, but it’s not crazy expensive either.
Deeply researching the brand history, from what I found online, it seems like Tyler started with simple things.
- Basic tees and hoodies with the Golf Wang logo.
- Then, the brand started getting bigger. More designs, more collaborations. It started with skateboards and, like, everyday stuff.
- Then it blew up into, you know, runway shows and collaborations with big brands.
Putting the pieces together
I think the biggest thing I learned from watching and reading the stuff is that Tyler’s brand is really just…him.
- It’s an extension of his personality. Bold, colorful, and a little bit “out there,”.
- It’s not about following trends, It’s about creating them.
So, yeah, that’s my deep dive into Tyler, the Creator’s fashion brand journey. I basically just immersed myself in his world, watched a lot, read a bit, and tried to piece it all together. It’s definitely inspiring to see how he built this whole thing from the ground up, just by being himself.
