Okay, so “trending styles 2017” – what a throwback! I remember trying to keep up with all that back then. Here’s how I went about tackling that whole fashion beast.

Digging for Inspiration
First, I scoured Pinterest. Seriously, that site was (and still is!) a goldmine. I typed in stuff like “2017 fashion trends,” “street style 2017,” and “celebrity fashion 2017.” I created a whole board just dedicated to that year’s looks.
- Saved tons of pins of outfits I liked.
- Started noticing patterns – certain colors, cuts, and fabrics that kept popping up.
Then, I hit up some fashion blogs and magazines. I flipped through old issues of Vogue, Elle, and whatever else I could find. It was all about getting a feel for what the “experts” were saying.
Identifying the Big Trends
After all that research, I started to see some clear trends emerge:
- Bold Stripes: Seemed to be everywhere.
- Athleisure: Tracksuits everyware.
- Statement Sleeves: The bigger, the better, apparently.
Experimenting in My Closet
Next, the fun part! I raided my own closet to see what I already owned that could fit into these trends. I found a striped shirt that I’d totally forgotten about. And some of my sleeves, that’s ok.
I tried different combinations, mixing and matching things in ways I hadn’t before. It was like a puzzle, figuring out how to make these trends work with my own style.

Hitting the Stores (Carefully!)
Of course, I needed a few new pieces to really round things out. I made a list of the key items I was missing, like maybe a cool bomber jacket or some wide-leg pants.
But, I wasn’t about to go broke chasing trends. I hit up some thrift stores and discount shops.I am try to find a style track pant.
Putting It All Together
Finally, I started incorporating the trends into my everyday outfits. I wore that striped shirt with some high-waisted jeans. I’m very satisfied!
It was all about finding a balance – embracing the trends without looking like I was trying too hard. And most importantly, feeling good in what I was wearing!
