Top rated LV dog bags: Which one is best?

Okay, so, today I wanna share how I made a little dog bag inspired by LV’s style. Don’t expect perfection, it’s more like a fun DIY project!

Top rated LV dog bags: Which one is best?

First things first, I grabbed some faux leather that looked kinda like the LV monogram. Found it at a local fabric store, cheap and cheerful. Then, I sketched out a simple bag shape. Think small, like, chihuahua-sized. Nothing too fancy, just a basic tote.

Next, I cut out the pieces. Two for the main body, two smaller ones for the sides, and two long strips for the handles. This is where things got a little wonky. My cutting skills aren’t exactly pro-level, but hey, adds character, right?

Then came the sewing. I started by sewing the side pieces to the main body pieces, inside out. My old sewing machine definitely struggled with the faux leather, so I had to go slow and steady. Lots of cursing involved, I won’t lie. After that I turned it inside out to actually look at the bag.

After the bag body was together I worked on the handles. I folded the strips in half and sewed them along the edges. Then, I attached them to the top of the bag. I made sure they were evenly spaced, or at least, tried my best to. Again, precision wasn’t my strong suit here.

For extra detail I added some gold-colored studs. Just glued them on randomly to mimic the LV vibe. It’s obviously not the real deal, but it gives that similar aesthetic. Honestly, they were a pain to stick on, but the final look was worth it.

Finally, I added a little clasp to keep the bag closed. Found a cheap one at the craft store and just sewed it on. And that’s it! My “LV” dog bag was done! It’s far from perfect, stitches are a bit wonky, and the material isn’t top-notch, but it’s handmade with love (and a lot of patience). My dog looks absolutely ridiculous carrying it, but that’s half the fun!

  • Needle and Thread
  • Gold Studs
  • Clasp

Biggest lesson? Don’t expect perfection! Just have fun with it. It’s more about the process and the laughs you get along the way. Plus, your furry friend gets a unique, albeit slightly embarrassing, accessory.
