Top Looks from House of the Dragon Red Carpet Event Revealed

Alright so today I figured I’d try figuring out those top looks everybody’s buzzing about from the House of the Dragon premiere. Heard it was flashy, needed to see for myself, right? First thing, I grabbed my dumb laptop – seriously, it wheezes like it ran up stairs – opened up the browser and just typed “House of the Dragon red carpet looks.” Simple.

Boom, tons of pictures. Way too many honestly. Everyone looked kinda shiny and intense. Started scrolling like crazy. Most sites just throw everything at you – big dresses, fancy suits, wild hairstyles. Felt kinda overwhelming. Had to find the ones people were really calling “top” looks.

My approach? Totally messy, but here goes:

  • I kept flipping between like, five different news sites. Annoying, because some had better pictures but worse lists.
  • Saw one actress popping up everywhere. Emma D’Arcy, that’s it! Wearing this wild silver thing – looked like liquid metal kinda, but stiff? Sharp edges. Real talk, no clue who actually wears stuff like that comfortably. Like, how do you sit?
  • Then Matt Smith. Man loves a quirky suit. This time? Deep green velvet jacket thing. Fancy. Probably itchy too. Kept seeing people call it “stylish” and “bold.” Okay then.
  • Milly Alcock! Remember her? Young Rhaenyra. Dressed in pure white, but sharp cuts. Very dragon-y vibe. Long sleeves, clean lines. Compared to all the floofy dresses around her, it stuck out. In a good way.
  • Kept flipping tabs, getting names jumbled. Olivia Cooke in deep black – elegant but fierce. Rhys Ifans looking like a wizard professor who got lost on the red carpet. Great facial hair though. Seriously impressive.

Biggest problem? Way too much glitz. Trying to pick “top” feels dumb sometimes. Like, why is this one shiny bling better than that one shiny bling? The leather corset thing on one actress looked painful, but people loved it. Go figure.

Anyway, spent way longer than planned sitting hunched over my laptop screen, squinting at tiny details on these outfits. Necklaces, brooches, weird patterns. Finally landed on my picks mostly ’cause they kept showing up everywhere or just looked so different they made me look twice. Not exactly scientific. More like “Oh, that one’s wild, guess it’s a top look.”

Did I nail it? Who knows. Some sites agreed with me, others listed totally different people. Guess it’s all opinions. Honestly ended up way more focused on Fabien Frankel’s really nice watch than his actual suit halfway through. Got distracted easily. Happens.

Finished making my little notes, turned off the laptop, screen hot. Felt accomplished? Sorta. Like I solved a puzzle made of sequins and shoulder pads. Funny world. Went looking for the best dressed and got lost in velvet and metal plates. Typical fashion nonsense. Made me wonder if any of them actually ate anything afterwards in those outfits. Probably not.
