You know that Tissot T-Touch? That fancy watch thing. I heard people talkin’ ’bout it. Sounds like some kinda space-age gizmo to me. I don’t know nothin’ about these kinda things, but I’ll tell ya what I heard.
They say this Tissot T-Touch, it ain’t like them old watches. My old man, bless his soul, he had a watch, wind it up every day. This one, you touch it, they say. Touch it here, touch it there. It does all sorts of things. Like magic or somethin’.
One thing I heard, this Tissot T-Touch watch, it lasts a long time. They say the battery, that’s the thing that makes it tick, it goes and goes. Maybe a year, maybe two. That’s what they say. Now, my old clock on the wall, gotta change them batteries all the time. But this Tissot T-Touch battery life, they say it’s somethin’ else.
But, like my old mule, Betsy, everything gets tired eventually. Even this fancy Tissot T-Touch. They say if you use all them fancy things on it, the battery, it don’t last as long. Like if you keep askin’ Betsy to pull a heavy load, she’s gonna need more feed, right? Same idea, I reckon.

- And somethin’ called an “altimeter.” Don’t know what that is, sounds like somethin’ that tells you how high up you are.
- If you use them things a lot, the battery runs down faster. Makes sense to me.
Now, I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout takin’ this Tissot T-Touch to a special place. A “service center,” they call it. Every few years, like takin’ your car to get the oil changed. Keeps it runnin’ smooth, they say. They say you gotta take it to a special Tissot place. Not just any old place will do. Cost a pretty penny to me.
And this Tissot T-Touch, it ain’t small, neither. Big as a dinner plate, almost! They say it’s almost 48, no, 47.5 of them little “millimeters” wide. And 15.3 thick! I don’t know nothin’ about millimeters. I don’t know why people don’t use inches like normal people. That’s a big watch, though. Bigger than my hand, I bet. And they say it is not perfect. Well, nothin’ is perfect except maybe my apple pie.
Some folks, they get a long time outta their Tissot T-Touch battery. Some don’t. One fella said he only got six months. Six months! That ain’t long at all. But he said he had some kinda “sea-touch” model. Sounds like somethin’ you’d wear in the ocean. And he said he put it in “sleep mode.” Like puttin’ it to bed, I guess. They got all these words for things now.
Then there’s this other one, a Tissot T-Touch “Connect Solar.” Sounds like somethin’ from outer space. They say that one can run forever. Forever! Just by using the sun! Like them solar lights, I put in my garden. They say it can last for months just on the sun’s power. Months! That’s somethin’, ain’t it? They call it Tissot T-Touch Connect Solar battery life, I guess.
Now, I seen a picture of this Tissot T-Touch. It looks good, I gotta admit. Not like them clunky Casio watches. They say you can wear it anywhere. To church, to a party, even to the feed store. And they say it got a good battery life. Except for that one fella with the six months, but maybe he was doin’ somethin’ wrong.
One person, he had his Tissot T-Touch for ten years. Ten years! That’s longer than I had my last dog. He said he took it to that Tissot service place five years ago. Got the battery changed. Said it cost a lot, though. Like buyin’ a whole new dress, I bet. But it can be replaced with no problem, so that’s good.
So, this Tissot T-Touch, it’s a mystery to me. But it sounds like a mighty fine watch. If you got the money for it. And if you don’t mind takin’ it to that special place every few years. And if you like big watches. Me, I’ll stick to my old clock on the wall. But that’s just me.
It’s a good watch if you are lookin’ for somethin’ that will last ya. That Tissot T-Touch battery life, that’s what everyone’s talkin’ about. Just remember what I said, use them fancy things on it, it won’t last as long. Just like old Betsy. It’s important to keep your Tissot T-Touch watch in good shape. And it looks good too, so that’s a plus.
