Okay, so I finally caved and bought the Loewe Small Gate bag. I’d been eyeing it for ages, and after watching countless unboxing videos and reading every review I could find, I took the plunge. Here’s how it all went down, from start to finish.

The Hunt

First, I spent weeks, maybe even months, just browsing. I knew I wanted the small size, but the color? That was the tough part. I went back and forth between the classic tan, a bright seasonal color, and even considered a textured leather. I must have visited the Loewe website a hundred times, and I even popped into a boutique a couple of times to see them in person. It’s a big purchase, so, you know, research is key!

The Purchase

Finally, I found “the one” – a beautiful, smooth tan leather version. It just felt timeless and like it would go with everything. I ended up ordering it directly from the Loewe website. The whole process was super smooth, and I even got a nice little confirmation email with a tracking number. The anticipation was killing me!

The Unboxing

When the box arrived, I was like a kid on Christmas morning. The packaging was beautiful – a sturdy box, tissue paper, a dust bag…the works. Seriously, unboxing it felt like a luxury experience in itself. And there it was, my new Gate bag! It was even more stunning in person than in the pictures. The leather was so soft, and the stitching was perfect.

First Impressions and Styling

My first thought? It’s definitely small, but surprisingly roomy. I could fit my phone, a small wallet, keys, lipstick, and even a small compact. I immediately started playing around with how to style it. It looks amazing crossbody, which is how I usually wear it. But it also looks really chic worn on the shoulder. I’ve worn it with jeans and a t-shirt, a cute summer dress, and even dressed it up a bit for a dinner out. It just elevates every outfit!

Wearing it Out and About

I’ve been using the bag for a few weeks now, and I’m still totally in love. It’s so comfortable to wear, even when it’s full. The magnetic closure is strong, so I don’t worry about things falling out. The adjustable strap is great because I can customize the length depending on how I’m wearing it. I’ve even gotten a few compliments on it, which is always nice!

Final Thoughts (So Far!)

Honestly, I’m so happy with my purchase. The Loewe Small Gate bag is definitely an investment piece, but it’s one that I know I’ll use for years to come. The quality is amazing, the design is classic, and it’s just so versatile. It’s become my go-to bag for pretty much everything. If you’re on the fence, I’d say go for it! You won’t regret it. I’m already thinking about which color I want next… maybe a dark brown for fall? We’ll see!
