So, about that Jimmy Choo blue bag. It wasn’t exactly planned, you know? I wasn’t hunting for a designer bag or anything. It kinda just happened.

I remember seeing it online first. Just scrolling, like you do. And this blue color just jumped out. Not navy, not baby blue, but this really intense, almost electric blue. Stuck in my head. Most of my stuff is pretty neutral, you know, blacks, greys, beige. Easy stuff. This blue was… loud. For me, anyway.
Getting Hands On It
Thinking about it and actually getting it were two different things. I went back and forth for ages. Is it practical? Where would I even use it? It’s not exactly an everyday kind of thing. Plus, the price tag. Oof. Let’s just say it wasn’t pocket change. I kept closing the browser tab, then opening it again a few days later. Typical.
What pushed me over? Honestly, it was after a really draining project at work. The kind that sucks the life out of you for weeks. Finished it, felt totally wiped, and just thought, “You know what? I need something bright.” Something totally unrelated to spreadsheets and deadlines. So, I just did it. Clicked ‘buy’. Had that moment of panic right after, thinking, “What have I done?”
Living With The Blue Bag
When it arrived, the box itself felt fancy. Unpacking it was an event. And the blue? Yep, it was definitely blue. Very blue. Under the lights in my hallway, it looked amazing.
But here’s the thing about using it:

- It’s smaller than you’d think. Fits my phone, a small wallet, keys, lipstick. That’s about it. Forget trying to stuff anything extra in there.
- The color is intense. Like, really intense. It doesn’t just ‘go’ with outfits; it demands attention. Sometimes that’s cool, other times I feel a bit self-conscious.
- It’s not super practical for daily running around. More of a ‘going out for dinner’ or ‘special event’ kind of bag.
So yeah, it sits on the shelf quite a bit. More than I originally thought it would. It’s nice to look at, definitely. Quality is there, feels solid. But is it useful in the way my old beat-up tote bag is? Not even close.
Sometimes I look at it and think about that crazy work project. Other times I think, “Maybe I should’ve just gone on a nice weekend trip instead.” It’s weird, the things you attach feelings to. It’s just a bag, right? But it ended up being this whole reminder of that specific time, that feeling of needing something completely different. It does make me smile sometimes, just because it’s so ridiculously blue. But mostly, it just sits there, looking pretty and slightly impractical.
