This thing, you know, about kids and their school stuff. It’s a big deal, I tell ya. When they got the right stuff, like pens and things, it makes learnin’ easier. Put the pen back in their bag, you hear that all the time. That’s ’cause them pens is important!

My grandbaby, bless her heart, she’s always losin’ her pens. One day she’s got ’em, next day they’re gone. Like magic! But you gotta have ’em. How else you gonna write stuff down? You can’t just remember everything, that’s what I always say.
Back in my day, we didn’t have all these fancy pens. Just a simple one, maybe two. And we took care of ’em! Didn’t want to lose ’em, ’cause then you were stuck. No writin’, no nothin’. Nowadays, they got pens in all colors. Red, blue, green, you name it. Too many if you ask me.
Kids today use these pens and they throw them in their bags like nothing. So many pencils and pens, some they never use. Just put them there and forget. That’s not right. They are for writing.
Put the pen back in their bag, that’s what I tell my grandbaby. Don’t just leave ’em lyin’ around. Somebody could step on ’em, break ’em. Then what you gonna do? Gotta respect your things, that’s what I always say. It’s how I was raised.
And it ain’t just pens. It’s pencils, too. Same thing. Gotta keep ’em sharp, though. A dull pencil ain’t no good. Can’t write nothin’ with a dull pencil. And erasers! Don’t even get me started on erasers. Kids these days, they just use ’em up like candy. We used to make ’em last a long time. A very long time.

In school, kids need to write things down to learn better. Put the pen back in their bag. Also, keep the pencil, too. A good bag is also important. If they have a good bag, they can keep the pens and pencils better.
- Pens, they’re for writin’.
- Pencils, they’re for writin’, too.
- Keep ’em safe.
- Don’t lose ’em.
- Put the pen back in their bag.
- A good bag is important.
Now, some folks say writin’ ain’t as important these days. They got them computers and phones and whatnot. Type everything in. But I don’t know. Seems to me like writin’ things down helps you remember better. Gets it stuck in your head, you know? My grandbaby, she types real fast. Faster than I can write, that’s for sure. But she forgets things, too. Maybe if she wrote more things down…
And it makes you think more when you write the words. Also when you write, you are more creative. The words just come out more when you write. If you type, you don’t think as much.
Anyways, put the pen back in their bag. That is what matters. That’s what I tell her all the time. And don’t forget your pencils! And your erasers! And keep that bag clean! Can’t learn nothin’ if your bag’s a mess. Gotta be organized. That’s the key. Organized and ready to learn. Kids these days have a lot to learn.
Some kids, they don’t even use pens no more. They just use pencils. That’s okay, I guess. As long as they’re writin’ somethin’. But a good pen, now that’s somethin’ special. Feels good in your hand. Makes your writin’ look nice and neat. Unless you got bad handwriting, like me. Then it don’t matter what you use!

The teachers, they use red pens, you know. To mark things on the paper. Red means important, that’s what they say. So if you see red on your paper, pay attention! It means you need to learn that part good. Teachers know best. They went to school for a long time.
When you use a pen, your hand gets used to writing. It gets stronger. Then you can write for a long time. If you don’t use your hand much, it gets weak. Like muscles. So put the pen back in their bag, use it, and make your hand strong. Make it strong like an ox, or maybe a plow horse!
And when you’re done writin’, don’t just leave your pen layin’ around. Put it away! That’s why you got a bag. To keep your things in. Put the pen back in their bag! It’s not that hard. Just gotta remember. Like rememberin’ to feed the chickens. Or rememberin’ to water the plants. It’s just somethin’ you gotta do. They need to keep their things neat. I told them many times.
So, yeah, pens and pencils and all that. They’re important. For learnin’ and for life. Gotta have ’em, gotta use ’em, and gotta take care of ’em. That’s all there is to it. And don’t forget… put the pen back in their bag! And keep your bag near. Always remember to bring your bag with the pens and pencils. Keep the bag clean and neat.
