Super Bowl 48 Logo: What’s the Big Fuss About?

Super Bowl 48 Logo: A Look Back at the Iconic Design

Alright, so everyone’s talkin’ ’bout this Super Bowl 48 logo, right? I ain’t no fancy artist or nothin’, but I can tell ya what I see. They say it’s a big deal, this logo thing. Like, it tells you somethin’ ’bout the game or the city where they playin’ it. Heck, I dunno. To me, it just looks like… well, a picture.

Now, they been doin’ these logos for a long time. Since, what, 1967? That’s what my grandson told me. Said they started out plain, then they got all fancy, showin’ off the city and all. This Super Bowl 48, it was in New York, or New Jersey, somethin’ like that. Cold place, that’s for sure. I seen pictures, all them tall buildin’s and whatnot. Guess that’s why the logo looks kinda… modern, I guess.

  • They say the logo is important.
  • They say it’s gotta be somethin’ special.
  • They say folks remember the logo, even more than the game sometimes.

I remember seein’ some old logos, way back when. Simple stuff, ya know? Just letters and numbers, maybe a football. But now? They got all sorts of swirls and colors and… I don’t even know what. My grandson, he tries to explain it to me, talks about “design” and “symbolism.” Says the colors mean somethin’, the shapes mean somethin’. Sounds like a whole lotta hogwash to me, but hey, what do I know?

This Super Bowl 48 logo, it’s got that… whatchamacallit… the Lombardi Trophy in it. That silver football thing they give to the winners. Fancy lookin’ thing, gotta say. And there’s some kinda bridge or somethin’ in the background. Guess that’s supposed to be New York? Or maybe it’s just a fancy squiggle. Who knows?

And the Colors? Don’t Get Me Started!

They say the colors are important too. Red means this, blue means that, yellow means somethin’ else. Honestly, it’s enough to make your head spin. This Super Bowl 48 logo, it’s got some red and blue, I think. And maybe some silver, for the trophy. They probably spent a whole lotta money on designers and all, just to pick them colors. Seems like a waste to me, but then again, I ain’t the one payin’ for it.

You know, back in my day, we didn’t have all this fancy logo stuff. We just played the game. And that was enough. But now, it’s all about the show, the spectacle. The logos, the commercials, the halftime show… it’s all a big production. Sometimes I think they forget about the football itself.

Super Bowl Logos: Are They Really That Important?

Now, I ain’t sayin’ the logo ain’t important. I guess it is, in a way. It’s how people recognize the game, right? It’s like a brand, they say. Like, when you see that swoosh, you know it’s Nike. When you see them golden arches, you know it’s McDonald’s. And when you see that Super Bowl logo, you know it’s the big game.

But still, sometimes I wonder if we make too big a deal outta these things. It’s just a picture, after all. What really matters is the game, the players, the competition. That’s what I care about, anyway. The rest of it, it’s just… fluff.

So, yeah, that’s my take on the Super Bowl 48 logo. It’s a picture. It’s got some colors and some shapes. It’s supposed to represent somethin’. But at the end of the day, it’s just a picture. The real show is on the field.

And that trophy? That shiny silver football thing? That’s what them fellas are really playin’ for. Not some fancy logo. They fight tooth and nail, give it their all, just to get their hands on that trophy. That’s what it’s all about. The rest of it, like I said, is just fluff. A bunch of hooey to make things look fancy. But me? I’m just here for the game. The good ol’ fashioned football game. That’s what matters.

And you know what else? They make a big fuss about protectin’ that logo, too. Can’t just go around usin’ it willy-nilly, or you’ll get in trouble. Seems kinda silly, if you ask me. It’s just a picture! But I guess them NFL fellas, they gotta protect their brand, or whatever they call it. It’s all about the money, you see. Big money in this football business. Logos, commercials, tickets, jerseys… it all adds up. And them fellas at the top, they ain’t missin’ no opportunity to make a buck. That’s for sure.
