Style Your Barbie Fiat 500? Easy Car Makeover Tips Now!

Okay so you know that pink Barbie Fiat 500 toy car I got last month? Looked super plain straight outta the box. Felt like it needed way more sparkle to match Barbie vibes. Grabbed my craft box and decided to go nuts on it last weekend. Here’s exactly how I did it.

First thing? Wash that plastic body. Just used lukewarm soapy water and an old toothbrush to scrub off factory dust. Super important ’cause paint won’t stick to greasy spots. Dried it overnight near my radiator – didn’t wanna rush this part.

Pick Your Colors & Stuff

Started spraying outdoors on cardboard. Did three thin coats of pink, shaking the can like crazy between sprays. Waited 20 mins between layers – nearly messed up by touching early once. Stickiness for days! Wheels got two coats of silver while hanging on a clothesline.

Glitter Attack Mode

When everything dried, went ham with glitter glue. Traced the headlights and taillights with white glitter. Made dripping patterns along the doors – looks like melting ice cream! Pro tip: dip toothpick in glue for tiny spots. Got glitter in my eyebrows but whatever.

Stickers went on last. Slapped a huge sparkly heart on the hood. Flower decals on roof and doors for that ✨extra✨ factor. Pressed down hard with microfiber cloth so no bubbles. Almost tore a sticker halfway – nearly cried!

Full confession: reassembling was hardest part. Those microscopic screws DO NOT wanna go back in right! Dropped one under the couch – spent 15 mins fishing it out with tape on a ruler. Final touch? Clear nail polish over stickers to seal ’em. Now it looks like it just rolled outta Barbie Dreamhouse driveway!

Total time? Bout 8 hours including dry waits. Cost? Maybe $15 max for new spray paint. Looks nothing like the boring toy now. That glitter catches sunlight like crazy – feels illegal for a toy car to shine this much! Gave it to my niece yesterday. Her jaw literally dropped. Worth every damn glitter speck stuck to my floor forever now.
