Okay, so Monday morning rolls around, and I’m staring into my closet like it’s a black hole. Seriously, what do I wear? I decided to document my whole “getting ready” process this time, just for fun.
The Initial Panic
First, I panicked. Just a little. Mondays are tough enough without the added pressure of looking presentable. I usually hit snooze about three times, so time is always a factor.
The Weather Check
Next, I grabbed my phone and checked the weather. Gotta know if we’re talking sunshine, rain, or the dreaded “feels like” temperature that’s always way off. It said “partly cloudy, high of 72.” Okay, that helps narrow things down.
The Closet Dive
Now, back to the closet. I started pulling things out. A floral dress? Too summery. Black pants? Too boring. Jeans? Maybe… Then I spotted it – my trusty navy blazer. It’s like the superhero of my wardrobe, always saving the day.
The Foundation
With the blazer as my anchor, I decided on a simple white t-shirt underneath. Can’t go wrong with a classic, right? For the bottom, I opted for those dark-wash jeans I mentioned earlier. They’re comfy but still look somewhat put-together.
The Shoe Situation
Shoes were next. I debated between sneakers and ankle boots. Sneakers would be more comfortable for running around, but the boots added a bit more polish. Boots won.
The Finishing Touches
Finally, accessories. I kept it minimal: a simple silver necklace and my everyday watch. I threw on a light scarf, mostly because I like the color, and that was it!
The Result
- Blazer: Navy blue, single-breasted
- Shirt: Plain white tee
- Pants: Dark-wash denim
- Shoes: Brown ankle boots
- Accessories: Silver necklace, watch, colorful scarf
I actually make my own record and I felt pretty good! Not too fancy, not too casual. Just right for a Monday. I managed to get out the door feeling (somewhat) ready to tackle the week. And hey, documenting it made the whole process a little more entertaining. Maybe I’ll try this again next week!
