Straight Male Fashion Designers: Are They Changing the Game?

Straight Male Fashion Designers: Are They Changing the Game?

Okay, so I wanted to talk about this whole thing with straight male fashion designers, ’cause it’s been on my mind.

First off, I started digging around online, just to see what the general vibe was. And honestly, it seemed pretty obvious. I mean, of course, you can be a straight guy and a fashion designer. It’s like, duh, right?

Then, I started looking into some specific designers and brands. There’s this whole movement happening where designers are just doing their own thing, no matter what. Like, I saw this one designer, Nensi Dojaka, who won some big award and is totally changing what people think is sexy. And then there’s Bianca Saunders, doing her own cool stuff.

I took a personality test. The results said I’m an INFJ, and apparently, that means I’m good at being independent, reliable, and paying attention to details, even when things get crazy. And those are, like, perfect qualities for a designer, right? I mean, this whole thing is starting to make sense now.

And then I started thinking about the history of fashion. It seems like for a long time, it’s been mostly guys designing clothes, for both men and women. I guess it had to do with what society expected back then, who people thought were the “experts,” and who had connections, you know, the usual stuff.

But even now, it’s still mostly men running the show in fashion, even though women spend way more money on clothes. It’s kind of wild when you think about it.

So, after all this digging and thinking, I realized a few things:

Anyway, that’s what I’ve been up to. Just wanted to share my little journey of discovery with you guys. It got me thinking about my own path and what I want to do. Let me know what you think!
