Spilled Something on Your Coach Bag Canvas? Learn How to Clean It Quickly.

Alright, so I’ve got this Coach bag, you know, the canvas one. It was my go-to for a while, and let me tell you, it’s seen some things. Coffee spills, maybe a little bit of ink, you name it. I figured it was time to give it a good cleaning, and I thought, why not share my little adventure with you guys?

First things first, I took everything out of the bag. You wouldn’t believe the stuff that accumulates in there. Old receipts, lip balms, a random sock…it was like a treasure trove of junk. After I got the bag empty, I turned it inside out. I saw someone on the internet say that’s a good way to start, but I’m not sure why it matters.

Then, I grabbed my trusty lint roller. This thing is a lifesaver, seriously. I rolled it all over the outside of the bag, picking up all the surface dust and crumbs. It’s oddly satisfying to see all that gunk come off. Now that the bag was free of loose debris, it was time to tackle the stains.

I remembered reading somewhere that you can use a damp cloth and mild detergent for spot cleaning, so I did. Also, I used to work at Coach and they told me that, in the shop, they would clean their bags with Tide or Dawn, so I just gave it a shot. I mixed a bit of Tide with water, dipped a clean cloth into the solution, and gently dabbed at the stains. I tried not to rub too hard because I didn’t want to damage the canvas.

Most of the stains came out pretty easily, which was a relief. There were a couple of stubborn ones that needed a bit more attention, but eventually, they faded away too. I was pretty proud of myself at this point.

Once I was done with the spot cleaning, I rinsed the cloth thoroughly and wiped down the entire bag to remove any soap residue. Then, I let the bag air dry. I didn’t want to put it in the dryer because I was afraid it might shrink or get damaged. I stuffed it with some paper towels to help it keep its shape while it dried, because, you know, sometimes bags can get a bit wonky when they’re wet.

And that’s it! My Coach bag looked almost brand new after all that. It’s amazing what a little bit of cleaning can do. If you’ve got a canvas bag that needs some love, definitely give this method a try. It’s pretty easy, and the results are totally worth it. And I heard that the employees at Coach clean their bags for free, but not the outlet ones!
