Shorty Bob Ideas: Cute Short Bob Haircuts Youll Love to Try

So, I’ve been meaning to share this for a bit. I finally did it, I got that haircut I was yapping about. You know, the one that’s kinda short, but still has that bob shape. It’s been a journey, let me tell ya, from thinking about it to actually sitting in that chair.

Deciding to Go For It

Honestly, my hair was just getting on my nerves. It was long, heavy, and took forever to do anything with. I’d see pictures of these cute, short styles and just sigh. I kept putting it off, thinking, “Oh, maybe it won’t suit me,” or “What if I hate it?” But then, one morning, I woke up, looked in the mirror, and just thought, “Nope, it’s time.” I was tired of the same old look, and I really wanted something that felt a bit more, well, me, and way less fuss.

I started looking around, you know, scrolling through tons of pictures. It was a bit overwhelming at first. There were so many types!

I saved a couple of pictures on my phone that I really liked, ones that felt achievable for my hair type, which is kinda wavy and can get a mind of its own.

The Salon Experience

I booked an appointment at my usual place. Walking in, I was a mix of excited and super nervous. I mean, it’s a big change, right? I sat down and showed my stylist the pictures. She was cool, nodded, and we talked a bit about how it would sit and what to expect. She totally got what I was after, which was a relief.

Then came the moment of truth. She sectioned my hair, and then the first snip happened. It’s a weird feeling, hearing that sound and seeing chunks of your hair fall away. I tried not to freak out, haha. She worked pretty fast, combing and snipping, shaping it all up. There was hair everywhere! It was kinda fascinating to watch it transform. She’d stop, check the length, ask me to tilt my head, all that salon stuff. It actually didn’t take as long as I thought it would.

Life with Shorter Hair

When she finally turned me around to face the mirror, my first thought was, “Wow, that’s short!” But in a good way. My head felt so much lighter, it was amazing. I could actually feel the air on my neck, which was a new sensation. It took a few days to really get used to seeing myself with such different hair, but I genuinely loved it from the get-go.

And the best part? The upkeep.

Honestly, I don’t know why I waited so long. It feels so much more manageable and, dare I say, a bit more stylish for me right now. I’ve gotten a few compliments, which is always nice, but the main thing is that I feel good with it. Definitely a successful experiment, this one!
