Okay, so I’ve been seeing these “track pants” all over my feed, and I finally decided to give them a try. I wasn’t sure how to style them at first, but I think I figured out a few things that work!

Finding the Right Pair
First things first, I needed to find some track pants. I went to a couple of stores, tried a few different styles. Some were super baggy, some were tighter, some had stripes, some didn’t. It was a whole thing.
I ended up grabbing a pair of basic black ones with a white stripe down the side. I figured that would be the easiest to work with while I was still figuring things out.
Experimenting with Tops
Next up, I started messing around with different tops. Here’s what I tried, with mixed results:
- Oversized Hoodie: This was comfy, for sure. It gave off that super casual, relaxed vibe. Good for hanging out at home, maybe not so much for going out.
- Cropped Tank Top: This was kind of cute! Showed a little skin, balanced out the bagginess of the pants. I liked this one a lot.
- Fitted T-Shirt: This was…okay. It worked, but it wasn’t anything special. Felt a little plain.
- Graphic Tee: Yes! This added some personality. I tucked it in a little at the front, which I thought looked pretty cool.
Shoes, Shoes, Shoes!
Shoes were the next hurdle. I rummaged through my closet and experimented:
- Sneakers: Classic, right? I tried some chunky white sneakers, and they looked pretty good. Kept things sporty.
- Sandals: Surprisingly, this worked! I had some simple black slides, and they gave the outfit a more laid-back, summery feel.
- Boots: Okay, this was a no-go. My chunky combat boots just looked weird with the track pants. Too much going on.
Putting It All Together
After all that trial and error, I found a couple of outfits I really liked. My favorite was the track pants, a graphic tee (slightly tucked), and the chunky white sneakers. I also liked the cropped tank top and sandals combo for warmer days.

It took some playing around, but I’m finally getting the hang of styling track pants! I think the key is just to experiment and see what feels good. Don’t be afraid to try different things, even if they seem a little weird at first. You might surprise yourself!
