Now, this Shaghaf Oud, they say it’s got that saffron smell right up front. Saffron, that’s that yellow stuff you put in rice sometimes, right? Then it’s got that Agarwood, or they call it Oud. And some rose in there too. Smells strong, I reckon. That Oud, that’s the main thing, though. I done seen that folks put it in the middle notes and the base notes or somethin’.

They got different kinds, too. There’s one called Shaghaf Oud Elixir, that’s the new one. It just come out this year, 2024. It’s all woody and fancy-like. I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout this other stuff, MFK’s Oud Satin Mood. Sounds like a mouthful, don’t it? They say it’s smoother than this Shaghaf Oud. More silky, they say. Whatever that means. Probably costs a fortune, too. This Shaghaf is popular, I guess. They say it’s a good one to start with if you ain’t never smelled Oud before.

I seen some folks talkin’ ’bout pickin’ the right one, the darker ones. I don’t know about all that. They all sound strong to me.
