Sea Monkeys Watch Aquarium: Tips and Tricks to Keep Your Sea Monkeys Alive!

Okay, guys, let’s talk about my latest obsession: Sea Monkeys! I’ve always been fascinated by these little critters, and I finally decided to take the plunge and set up my own Sea Monkey aquarium. It’s been a learning experience, to say the least, but I’m here to share my journey with you all.

Sea Monkeys Watch Aquarium: Tips and Tricks to Keep Your Sea Monkeys Alive!

First off, I got myself a Sea Monkey kit online. I picked one that came with everything: the tank, the eggs, the food, the whole shebang. Once it arrived, I eagerly ripped open the box and laid everything out.

Now, the instructions were pretty straightforward, but I’m not gonna lie, I was a bit nervous. I followed them to the letter, though. I filled the tank with bottled water. Then, I added the water purifier packet that came with the kit and stirred it around. After waiting for about 24 hours, I carefully poured in the packet of Sea Monkey eggs.

And then… I waited. The instructions said it could take a few days for them to hatch, so I tried to be patient. I placed the tank where it could get some indirect sunlight. I read somewhere that helps with algae growth, which is good for the little guys. I checked on them every few hours, peering into the tank, hoping to see some signs of life.

Finally, on the third day, I saw them! Tiny little specks swimming around. I was so excited! Over the next few days, they grew bigger and more active. They were so much fun to watch!

I’ve been feeding them the special Sea Monkey food that came with the kit. I make sure the water is within a warm degree range as I read that is what will help them thrive. I also learned that it’s important to aerate the tank regularly, so I’ve been doing that a few times a week.

It’s only been a few weeks, but I’m already attached to my little Sea Monkey colony. They’re such fascinating creatures, and it’s amazing to watch them grow and thrive.

Here are a few tips I’ve picked up along the way:

  • Keep the tank in a warm spot: Sea Monkeys like warm water, between 68-80 degrees. They seem to do best at around 79.
  • Indirect sunlight is key: It helps with algae growth, which is a good food source.
  • Don’t overfeed: Just a tiny scoop of food every few days is enough.
  • Aerate the tank: This helps keep the water oxygenated.

I hope my journey in setting up a Sea Monkey aquarium inspires you to try it yourself! It’s a fun and rewarding experience, and it’s a great way to learn about these amazing creatures. I will keep updating my blog about my Sea Monkeys.
