Okay, so I’ve been meaning to get to the bottom of this whole “Robert Redford watch” thing for a while now. It’s been popping up in forums and watch blogs, and I was curious. What watch does the guy actually wear? Here’s how I went about finding out, and what I discovered.
My Little Investigation
First, I jumped onto Google. Just a basic search, you know, “Robert Redford watch”. I got a bunch of articles and forum discussions. Lots of talk, but not a ton of hard facts. Most people seemed to be guessing.
I spent some time digging through those search results. I started to notice a pattern. A lot of people mentioned a particular brand. So, I refined my search, adding that brand name to the mix.
Next, I dove into some watch forums. These guys are serious! I found threads dedicated to identifying watches in movies. This is where I started to see some real evidence. People were posting screenshots, analyzing details… it was intense.
- I looked at pictures. Lots of pictures. Close-ups, movie stills, candid shots… you name it.
- I read forum discussions. Some of it was pure speculation, but some folks really seemed to know their stuff.
- I compared the images I found with pictures of different watch models. This was the tricky part, trying to match the tiny details.
After all that looking and reading, I feel like I’ve got a pretty good handle on it. Of course there is the watch of All The President’s Men. It’s not 100% certain, because, you know, it’s hard to be completely sure from just images, but it seems to be a common opinion.
It was a fun little project! I enjoy a bit of watch-spotting. It shows how a simple question can lead you down a rabbit hole of details and dedicated communities.
