Okay, so I’ve been eyeing these Rene Caovilla heels for, like, forever. They’re so sparkly and pretty, I just had to try and get a pair. But they’re super expensive, so I needed a plan.

The Hunt Begins
First, I scoured the internet. I checked the official Rene Caovilla website, of course. Then I hit up all the big department stores online, you know, the usual suspects.
- I spent hours browsing. Hours!
- I compared prices, styles, everything.
I even looked at some of those resale sites, hoping to find a gently used pair. It was tough! Either they didn’t have my size, or the shoes were still way out of my budget.
Getting Crafty (and a Little Desperate)
Then I thought, “Maybe I can find something similar?” So I started looking for dupes. I searched for “crystal embellished heels” and “strappy sandals” and every other combination of words I could think of.
I found some that looked kind of similar, but they just weren’t the same. The sparkle wasn’t as intense, the straps weren’t as delicate… it just wasn’t the Rene Caovilla magic.
The Realization (and Acceptance)
Finally, I had to face facts. These shoes are an investment. They are not to make impulsively.

So. I try it on and buy it. I’m so happy now!
