Ponytail with Bangs: Simple Steps to Get the Perfect Look

Okay, so I’ve been seeing this “ponytail with bangs” style everywhere lately, and I finally decided to give it a shot. I’m not gonna lie, I was a little nervous because my hair can be…unpredictable. But I figured, why not? Let’s do this!

Ponytail with Bangs: Simple Steps to Get the Perfect Look

Getting Started

First things first, I washed and dried my hair. I wanted a clean slate to work with. I have naturally wavy hair, so I used a bit of smoothing serum to tame the frizzies. You know, get it all nice and manageable.

The Bangs

This was the scary part. I’ve had bang mishaps in the past (we’ve all been there, right?). I sectioned off the front part of my hair, the part I wanted to become my bangs. I used a comb to make sure it was a nice, even section. Then, I took a deep breath and started trimming. I went slow, snipping just a tiny bit at a time. I’d rather have them too long at first than too short! I kept checking in the mirror, making sure they were even and the length I wanted. The first rule of cutting your bangs is to go slow!

The Ponytail

Once the bangs were (mostly) sorted, it was time for the ponytail. I gathered the rest of my hair and pulled it back. I decided to go for a high ponytail, because I think it looks a bit more…chic? I don’t know, it just felt right. I secured it with a hair tie, making sure it was nice and tight. You can do a low-ponytail which is also very nice.

The Finishing Touches

The Result

And…done! It actually turned out better than I expected! The bangs framed my face nicely, and the high ponytail gave it a bit of an edgy vibe. I’m pretty happy with it! It’s a simple style, but it looks like I put in some effort, you know? Definitely going to be rocking this look more often.
