Pirelli Calendar 2015 Top Shots: See the Hottest Photos Revealed Here!

So I got this wild idea last Tuesday after scrolling through old fashion archives online. Thought I’d try recreating those smoking hot shots from the Pirelli 2015 calendar with zero budget. Yeah, laugh now, but hear me how it went!

First up, needed a model. Called up my niece Chloe – crazy artsy kid, agreed instantly for pizza payment. Bargain! No fancy studios for us though. My cramped living room became the “set.” Shoved the couch against the wall, clear space near the biggest window. Natural light was key, everyone says so.

Hit the hardware store next morning:

  • Grabbed a huge sheet of white foam board ($8) – instant “reflector”
  • Snagged a cheap clip lamp ($12) and the brightest daylight bulb they had
  • Scrounged an old thrift store velvet curtain ($3!) for backdrop vibes

Chloe rocked up Friday afternoon, buzzing. Draped that velvet curtain over some bookshelves. Looked nothing like the calendar pics. Way too crumpled. Ironed it like mad. Still kinda sucked. Screw it, let’s roll.

Positioned Chloe near the window. Sun was blasting in all wrong. Made her squint like crazy. Shadows under her eyes looked like bruises. Total disaster. Foam board didn’t do squat. What now?

Pivoted fast. Moved away from the window entirely. Set up the clip lamp behind her, pointing up at that velvet curtain. Boom! Instant hazy background glow. Used the foam board low, tilted up, bouncing the lamp light onto her face. Finally! Got that warm, diffused look starting to show.

Now the poses. Pulled up a reference shot on my laptop – some draped fabric look. Chloe tried draping an old scarf over her shoulder real sensual. Looked like a tablecloth gone rogue. Awkward silence. She shifted, dropped one shoulder slightly, tilted her chin down, eyes up at the camera. YES! That was the ticket. Got the vibe.

Shot like mad for an hour. Took maybe 200 pictures on my battered DSLR. Most were garbage. Wrong focus, weird shadows. But hey, practice! A few? Man… they actually felt close to those calendar glam shots. Soft light wrapping around her, warm backdrop glow, that piercing eye contact. Chuffed! Not Vogue, but way better than expected from my living room rubble.

Wrapped it up. Chloe devoured her pepperoni pizza. Lesson learned? You don’t need expensive gear to chase a look. Just a patient relative, some DIY hustle, and zero shame in failing repeatedly. Sometimes, messing around throws up pure gold!
