Perfume Pretty Barbie Doll: Is She Worth It? Unboxing and Review!

Okay, so, I saw this thing online about making a “perfume pretty” Barbie doll, and I thought, “Why not give it a go?” I mean, I used to play with Barbies as a kid, and this seemed like a fun little project. It is not a big deal to do this and the materials are easy to find.

First, I gathered all the stuff I needed. I found an old Barbie doll in my attic, luckily, its dress looks good and I don’t need to buy a new dress for her. Then I picked out a couple of perfumes I didn’t use much anymore. I also grabbed some cotton balls, a small container, and some plastic wrap. Very simple and I believe everyone can find these things at home.

The next step was to clean the doll. I just used a damp cloth and some mild soap to wipe her down. Nothing fancy, just making sure she was clean before I started. Then, I took the cotton balls and sprayed them with the perfumes. I used two different scents because, you know, why not? Variety is the spice of life! But you can also use one if you want. It depends on you.

  • Clean doll with mild soap

  • Spray perfumes on cotton balls

Then, I put the scented cotton balls into the small container. I placed the Barbie on top of the cotton balls, but not directly. I used a piece of plastic wrap to separate her from the cotton, so the perfume wouldn’t stain her dress or anything. It was a bit tricky to get her balanced, but I managed it. At first, I didn’t use plastic wrap, and I found the doll’s dress had a little different color. I almost ruined it, so please don’t forget to use it!

Finally, I closed the container and left it for a few days. I read online that it takes a while for the doll to absorb the scent. I was so excited and I checked it every day to see if there is any difference. After about three days, I opened it up, and wow, she smelled amazing! Just like those fancy perfume dolls they used to sell. Success!

My Takeaway

Honestly, this was such a fun and easy project. I’m really happy with how it turned out. It’s a great way to repurpose old dolls and perfumes. Plus, it’s just a neat little trick to make your Barbie smell extra special. If you have some free time and want to try something creative, I definitely recommend giving this a shot! It is very easy and can kill some time. I think I will try more different perfumes next time!

This whole thing was pretty simple. No high-tech tools were needed. If I can do it, anyone can. The result is satisfying, and I’ve already started thinking about which doll and perfume combo I’ll try next. Stay tuned!
