Okay, so I’ve been thinking about getting a pedicure lately. My feet have been looking kind of rough, and I figured it’s time for a little pampering. I’m not really into super flashy stuff, I just want something simple and clean that makes my feet look nice, you know?

The Prep Work
First things first, I had to gather my supplies. I grabbed my trusty foot file, some cuticle remover, a nail clipper, and a buffer. Then I filled up a basin with warm water and added some Epsom salts and a few drops of essential oil because why not make it a little spa-like? I let my feet soak in there for a good 15-20 minutes. It was super relaxing, and it really softened up my skin.
Getting Down to Business
After the soak, I started working on my calluses with the foot file. I was gentle, just slowly buffing away the rough patches. Then, I applied some cuticle remover and pushed back my cuticles with a little tool. Next up was the nail trimming. I made sure to cut them straight across to avoid ingrown nails. After that, I used a nail file to shape them, smoothing out any rough edges.
With the basic nail care out of the way, I grabbed a nail buffer and gently buffed the surface of my nails to make them smooth. That felt pretty good, not gonna lie. Now it was time to think about the color.
Choosing the Color
I didn’t want anything too crazy. I was thinking maybe a nude color, or something simple like a French tip. I had some options at home. Finally, I decided to go with a simple French tip – can’t go wrong with that. So I grabbed my white polish and a base coat and started to paint on my nails.
The Finishing Touches
Once the polish was dry, I applied a top coat to seal everything in and add some shine. Last but not least, I massaged some lotion onto my feet and ankles. They felt so soft and smooth afterward.

And that’s it! My at-home pedicure was complete. It was a pretty simple process, but it made a big difference. My feet look and feel so much better now. Plus, it was a nice little way to relax and pamper myself. I’m definitely going to do this more often.
