Okay, let’s talk about my little adventure with the Nike Sky Hi Dunks.
So, I finally decided to grab a pair of those Nike Sky Hi Dunks I’d been eyeing. I’d seen them around, and I just loved that hidden wedge – gives you a little height boost without looking like you’re trying too hard, you know?
The Hunt Begins
First things first, I had to find them. It wasn’t as easy as I thought! Some stores had them, some didn’t, some only had weird colors… It took a bit of digging, checking a few different stores. Finally, I found a pair in my size and in a classic black and white colorway – score!
Trying Them On
I was get it in my * was so exciting.
The leather felt pretty good, not super cheap or anything.
Slipping them on was the real test. Getting my foot in was a little tricky at first, because of the high-top design. I definitely had to loosen the laces a lot. But once my foot was in, wow! They felt surprisingly comfy. The hidden wedge wasn’t awkward at all, it just felt like a regular, supportive shoe.
Walking Around
I took a few steps, then a few more. I did a little test walk around the store (and probably looked ridiculous). They felt stable, not wobbly like some platform shoes can be. I could definitely feel the extra height, but it wasn’t like walking on stilts.
Styling and Wearing
- Jeans: These look awesome with skinny jeans or leggings. The high-top design really pops.
- Shorts:I wear a shorts,*’s cool,too.
- Dresses/Skirts: I even tried them with a casual dress, and it worked! It gave the outfit a bit of an edgy vibe.
I’ve worn these things all over – to the mall, out to lunch, even just running errands. They’re way more comfortable than I expected. They’ve become one of my go-to pairs of shoes when I want something a little different. I always get compliments on them, too!
