Okay, so I’ve been on this whole skincare journey lately, trying to find what works best for my skin. And one thing everyone keeps saying is, “Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen!” Especially for your face, right? So, I decided to try out the Neutrogena sunscreen, specifically the one marketed for the face.

The Hunt
First, I went to the store. I mean, you can get everything online these days, but for some reason, I like seeing skincare stuff in person. I stood in the sunscreen aisle for a good 10 minutes, just staring at all the options. It’s overwhelming!
I picked up a few different bottles, read the backs, and finally settled on the Neutrogena one because it said “oil-free” and “won’t cause breakouts.” My skin is kinda sensitive and prone to getting pimples, so that was a big selling point for me.
The First Application
The next morning, I washed my face, did my usual routine, and then it was time for the sunscreen test. I squeezed a little bit onto my fingers – it was white and kinda thick, but not too goopy. I rubbed it all over my face, making sure to get my forehead, nose, cheeks, everything.
It blended in pretty easily, which was good. Some sunscreens leave you looking like a ghost, but this one didn’t. It did feel a little bit greasy at first, but that went away after a few minutes.
The Wear Test
I went about my day as usual. I spent some time outside, ran some errands, the whole deal. I was a little worried it would make my skin oily throughout the day, but it actually didn’t. My skin felt pretty normal, not super shiny or anything.

The Verdict (So Far)
- Pros:
- Didn’t make me break out!
- Blended in well, no white cast.
- Didn’t make my skin super oily throughout the day.
- Cons:
- Felt a tiny bit greasy right after applying, but it faded.
I’ve only been using it for a week or so, but so far, so good! I’ll keep using it and see if it continues to work well for me. I’m really hoping this is “the one” because finding a good face sunscreen is hard!
