Neutrogena Sheer Sunblock for Face & Body: Daily Use Tips.

Okay, here’s my experience with Neutrogena Sheer Sunblock, told in a casual, blog-post style:

So, I’ve been on this quest to find a decent sunscreen that doesn’t make me feel like I’m wearing a greasy mask all day. I’ve tried a bunch, some were okay, some were terrible. Then, I picked up Neutrogena’s Sheer Zinc Dry-Touch Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50, and here’s how it went.

First Impressions

I grabbed the bottle, and the first thing I noticed was “Sheer Zinc.” Usually, zinc sunscreens are thick and pasty, like you’re about to paint a wall, not your face. But this one claimed to be “dry-touch,” so I was cautiously optimistic.

The Application Test

I always put sunblock after washing my face, I squeezed a little bit onto my fingers. It was definitely thicker than the watery sunscreens I’ve used before, but not as thick as some other zinc ones. I started rubbing it in, and this is where it got interesting. It took a little bit of work to spread it evenly. I massaged it into my skin, and at first, it looked like I had a white cast – you know, that ghostly look? But, I kept rubbing, and it actually did disappear! Surprise!

The “Dry-Touch” Verdict

After it was all blended in, I patted my face to see if it felt sticky or greasy. Honestly, it wasn’t bad at all. It definitely felt “dry” compared to most sunscreens. It wasn’t completely matte, there was a tiny bit of a sheen, but nothing that made me feel like an oil slick. This, my friends, was a win!

The Wear Test

Final Thoughts

Okay, so after using this Neutrogena Sheer Zinc for a while, I’m pretty happy with it. It’s not perfect – it does take a bit of effort to rub in – but the fact that it doesn’t leave me feeling like a greasy mess is a huge deal. I have used many sunblocks, but to be honest this one is better. I can wear it without feeling self-conscious, and I know I’m getting good sun protection. It’s become my go-to daily sunscreen, and I’d definitely recommend giving it a try if you’re looking for a mineral sunscreen that doesn’t feel heavy.
