Okay, so, I recently hit up the Neiman Marcus in Scottsdale, and let me tell you, it was quite the experience. I figured I’d share my little adventure with you all.
First off, I started my day by checking out their website, just to get a feel for what I was getting myself into. The site kept mentioning cookies, which I guess is normal these days for, like, tracking stuff and making the website work better. Anyway, I browsed around and noticed they have a lot of options and brands, this is going to be a long shopping time.
Then, I planned my visit. I saw they have this “Personal Shopping” thing where they help you revamp your wardrobe. Sounded fancy, but I decided to just wing it. I also found out that the store is in Scottsdale Fashion Square, which apparently is the place to be for luxury shopping in the Southwest. Okay, cool, cool.
So, I drove to Scottsdale, found the Fashion Square, which was pretty huge, and there it was – Neiman Marcus. I walked in, and it was just as luxurious as I expected. I decided to explore on my own, checking out all the different sections and drooling over the fancy clothes and accessories. I’m not gonna lie, everything was way out of my budget, but hey, a guy can dream, right?
- Wandered through different departments.
- Tried on a few things, just for fun.
- Didn’t buy anything, but enjoyed the experience.
After walking around for a while, I got a bit hungry. I remembered seeing something about an “NM Cafe” on their website, so I went looking for it. Found it tucked away inside the store, and it looked pretty nice – all muted colors and greenery, very chic.

I sat down and checked out the menu. It wasn’t too bad, price-wise, considering the whole luxury vibe of the place. I ordered a sandwich and a drink, and it was actually pretty good. I mean, nothing to write home about, but it definitely hit the spot.
After lunch, I did another round of the store, just to make sure I didn’t miss anything. I noticed a lot of people seemed to be getting personal shopping help, and everyone looked like they were having a good time. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, even though I was clearly just browsing.
While I was leaving, I did a little more digging into the history of Neiman Marcus, just out of curiosity. Turns out they went through some bankruptcy stuff in 2020 but are now owned by some investment firms. And get this – they’re part of Saks Global now. Wild, right?
All in all, it was a fun day out. I didn’t buy anything, but it was cool to see how the other half lives. If you’re ever in Scottsdale and want to feel fancy for a day, definitely check out Neiman Marcus. Just be prepared to window shop unless you’ve got a serious shopping budget!
