Okay, so I needed to return a sweater I bought from Bloomingdale’s online. It was a nice sweater, just not my style, you know? So, I figured I’d document the whole process in case it helps anyone else out.

Figuring Out the Return Policy
First things first, I had to find their actual return policy. I went to the Bloomingdale’s website and scrolled all the way to the bottom. It can very clearly see the Return Policy button.
I scrolled down the page, and it has all the details, like how long you have to return stuff, what condition it needs to be in, and all that jazz.
Starting the Return
I logged into my Bloomingdale’s account. Then, I went to my order history and found the order with the sweater. There was a button that read “Return Items”. I clicked that.
Next, I selected the reason for my return, I choose “Not my Style”.
Packing and Shipping
I still had the original box and the packing slip, so I just put the sweater back in the box. I am sure to include the packing slip, because It can help them process the return faster.

- Folded the sweater neatly (or as neatly as I could).
- Placed it back in the original box.
- Included the packing slip.
- Sealed the box with tape.
Keep Tracking
I keep tracking the status of Return in website. I get email notifications, but it’s still good to check manually from time to time, I finally see status is “Return successfully”.
And that’s it! I print out my money, easy peasy, just wait my money back to my account.
