Okay, so, picture this: I’m in Tacoma, right? And I’ve been hearing all this buzz about Japanese head spas. I mean, who wouldn’t want a spa day for their head? So, I decided, “Why not?” and jumped right into it.
First off, I did some digging online because, you know, gotta find the best spot. I went through a bunch of listings, looked at a ton of reviews and stuff, and finally settled on a place that a lot of people were raving about – Serenity Spa. They had a pretty good rep, and the prices seemed fair. Plus, it was close by, which is always a bonus.
I called them up, booked an appointment, and before I knew it, I was walking through their doors. The place was super chill, instantly made me feel relaxed. The staff were really friendly, guiding me through what was gonna happen. I went with the Classic Head Spa, cause why not start with the basics right?
They started by washing my hair, which felt amazing, like getting a head massage right from the get-go. Then, they applied some kind of treatment to my scalp. I’m not sure what it was, but it felt tingly and refreshing. They explained it was to help with circulation and to make my scalp all healthy and happy.
Next, came the actual massage part. Oh boy, was that something! They really worked on my scalp, using their fingers to rub and press in all the right places. It felt like all the tension was just melting away. They also massaged my neck and shoulders a bit, which was a nice touch.
After that, they rinsed everything out and dried my hair. It was a simple process, nothing too fancy, but it felt so good. They finished it off with a quick blow-dry, and I was all set.

When I walked out, my head felt lighter, my hair felt softer, and I was in this zen-like state. It was like my scalp had been on a mini-vacation. Honestly, it wasn’t just about my hair or scalp feeling good; it was a whole mood. I felt more relaxed overall, and my face even seemed a bit brighter. They say it helps with lymph drainage, and I totally see why now.
- Definitely going back.
- Might try the Hair Loss Prevention and Hair Growth one next time.
- Totally recommend it if you’re in Tacoma and need some serious relaxation.
So, that’s my little adventure with the Japanese head spa in Tacoma. It was a spur-of-the-moment thing, but totally worth it. I’m now thinking this is gonna be my regular thing now. Treat yo’ self, right?
