Mistakes to Avoid with Makeup for Hazel Eyes and Brown Hair Tips

Okay so my hazel-eyed, brown-haired girlfriends kept complaining about makeup disasters, so I grabbed my stuff and filmed a whole damn tutorial. Here’s exactly how it went down.

Starting Point Total Mess

First I slapped on this warm brown eyeshadow everyone recommends for hazel eyes. Bad move. Made my brown hair look muddy as hell, like I rubbed dirt on my face. Washed it off immediately.

Tried fixing it with shimmery champagne highlighter all over lids. Worse. Shimmer stuck in my creases and amplified hooded lids. Looked straight outta 2002.

Fix Attempts Disaster Mode

Pulled out the eyeliner. Thick black wings cause influencers said it makes hazel pop. Horrible. Felt like two crows sitting on my face drowning my eyes completely.

What Actually Worked

Ditched warm tones completely. Mixed matte taupe and slate grey shadows instead. Brown hair didn’t clash and hazel specks finally showed up.

Applied trick: patted dark plum on outer corners only. Suddenly eyes went from muddy to green-gold shift. Magic!

For liner used soft espresso pencil JUST on upper waterline. Added definition without looking goth.

Biggest game changer: Peach nude lipstick. Made brown hair look expensive instead of washed out. Brightened everything up like natural sunlight filter.

Final Verdict

Survived date night without makeup breakdown. Key stuff:

Never letting glitter near my crease again. Period.
