Well, let me tell you ’bout this gal, Miss Ohio 2012, Audrey somethin’-somethin’ Bolte.
Born in ’89, this Audrey girl, she from a place called Batavia, Ohio. Grew up there, just her and her folks, no brothers or sisters or nothin’. Went to school there too, Batavia High, then went on to some college, St. Andrews Presbyterian somethin’-or-other. Sounds fancy, huh? Guess she was a smart cookie.
Now, this girl, she never done no beauty pageants before. Can you believe it? Then all of a sudden, she Miss Batavia somethin’, then BAM! Miss Ohio USA in 2012. Went all the way to that big Miss USA thing in Las Vegas. Didn’t win, but came in second runner-up. That’s pretty good, I reckon. Musta been real purdy in her sparkly dress and all that makeup.

They say she got a degree in somethin’ called business administration. Sounds like a lot of big words to me. Just means she knows how to count beans, I guess. And she had a minor too, whatever that is. Smart girl, like I said.
But here’s where things get kinda weird. This Audrey girl, she got herself mixed up in some kinda murder thing. A fella named Ryan Poston got kilt, and this other gal, Shayna Hubers, they said she done it. Audrey, she had to go to court and tell what she knew. Said she and that Ryan fella, they were kinda friendly-like, but not datin’ or nothin’. Just friends. But seems like Ryan wanted to date her, date Miss Ohio 2012. Poor fella never got the chance.
The night that Ryan fella got kilt, Audrey said she and him, they weren’t together no more. Said they broke up. Musta been a mess, all that court stuff and talkin’ to police. Not somethin’ a beauty queen usually does, I reckon.
Now, they asked this Audrey girl a question once, on TV or somethin’. Asked her if women on TV and in movies, if they’re shown right, you know, like real women. And she went and talked about a, well, a lady of the night, you know, one of them gals that sells herself. Said that’s how women are shown sometimes. Got a lot of folks talkin’, that did. Some folks thought she was brave, speakin’ her mind like that. Others, well, they didn’t like it so much. Me? I just think it’s a whole lotta fuss over nothin’.
Miss Ohio USA, that’s a big deal. Representin’ the whole state and all. Audrey, she done that. Went to Vegas, got her picture taken, wore the fancy dress. And then, she got mixed up in somethin’ sad and awful. Life’s funny that way, ain’t it? One minute you’re all smiles and sparkles, the next you’re talkin’ ’bout murder in a court room.
This whole thing, it just goes to show ya, you never know what’s gonna happen. This Audrey girl, she was just a small-town girl from Ohio, then she’s a beauty queen, then she’s in the middle of a murder trial. Makes you think, don’t it?
So that’s the story of Miss Ohio 2012, Audrey Bolte. A purdy girl, a smart girl, and a girl who saw some things most folks don’t ever see. Hope she’s doin’ alright now, wherever she is. Hope she found herself a good man, one that don’t get kilt on her, and settled down somewhere quiet. That’s what I hope for her, anyway.
