Okay, so I’ve been wanting to make a mini Bolide bag for a while now, and I finally decided to just go for it! I’m not a professional, just someone who likes to craft, so bear with me.

Getting Started
First, I gathered all my materials. This took some time itself, searching and ordering the correct size and colors.
- Leather (I chose a nice, soft, kind)
- Lining fabric
- Zipper
- Thread (matching the leather)
- Some basic leatherworking tools (needle, awl, cutting mat, etc.)
- A pattern (I sketched my own roughly based on pictures I found, but you can definitely find premade patterns)
The Cutting and the Prep
Next, I cut out all the leather pieces according to my pattern. This was a bit nerve-wracking because I didn’t want to mess up the leather! I took it slow and double-checked everything before cutting. Then I cut out the lining pieces, making them slightly smaller than the leather pieces.
Sewing it Up
Now for the fun part – sewing! I started by sewing the lining pieces together to create the inner bag. This was pretty straightforward, just straight seams. Then, the tricky part: attaching the zipper. I carefully pinned it in place and hand-stitched it to the leather, being super careful to keep everything aligned. I messed up a couple of times and had to redo it, but hey, that’s part of the process, right?
Then, I carefully started stitching the main body of the bag, making sure the seams were neat and strong. I also added the leather detaillings.
Finishing Touches
Once the main body was sewn, I turned the whole thing right-side out. And that’s pretty much it! It’s not perfect, but I’m pretty proud of how it turned out. It’s definitely a mini Bolide, and I made it myself!

It took me a good few days, working on it in bits and pieces, but it was so worth it. If you’re thinking of trying something like this, just go for it! It’s a lot of fun, and you end up with something unique that you made with your own hands.
