Okay, so I saw this trend going around, you know, the whole “Mean Girls” meets “Bratz Dolls” thing. And I was like, “I gotta try this!” I mean, who doesn’t love a good mashup?

First, I gathered my materials. This was the fun part… well, part of it. I dug out my old Bratz dolls – Yasmin, Cloe, Jade, and Sasha, obviously. Gotta have the core four! Then, I went through my makeup stash. Think pinks, purples, and anything with glitter. Lots of glitter.
The Transformation Begins…
I started with the faces. I carefully, and I mean carefully, cleaned off their original makeup with some nail polish remover. It took a while, and I was super nervous about ruining them, but it worked! Then, the real challenge began.
- I sketched out the “Mean Girls” looks on paper first. You know, Regina’s sharp eyeliner, Gretchen’s overlined lips, Karen’s… well, Karen’s confused expression.
- Then, using the tiniest brushes I could find, I started painting. It was like doing miniature portraits!
- The eyeliner was the trickiest part. Getting that perfect wing on a doll’s eye? Way harder than it looks.
Next up: the hair. Oh boy, the hair. Bratz dolls are known for their fabulous locks, but I needed to give them that early 2000s “Mean Girls” vibe. I used some hairspray and a tiny curling iron (yes, they make those!) to get the right amount of volume and flip.
The Final Touches…
Finally, the outfits! I couldn’t find exact replicas of the “Mean Girls” outfits in doll size, so I had to get creative. I used some fabric scraps, sequins, and a whole lot of hot glue to create miniature versions of their iconic looks. Think pink, pink, and more pink.
It took me, like, a whole weekend, but I finally finished! The result? Four Bratz dolls totally transformed into the Plastics. They looked… surprisingly good! A little rough around the edges, maybe, but definitely recognizable. It did give the desired effect.

I’m not gonna lie, it was a lot of work. But it was also super fun, and I’m kinda proud of how they turned out. Maybe I’ll tackle the “Burn Book” next… just kidding (mostly)!
