Okay, so, I’ve been eyeing the Marc Jacobs Micro Tote for a while now. It’s just so darn cute, but I really wanted to make sure it was the real deal before I shelled out my hard-earned cash. You know how it is with designer stuff, gotta watch out for those fakes.

First thing I did, I started digging around online. I figured there had to be some tell-tale signs to spot a fake Marc Jacobs bag. I learned that authentic Marc Jacobs Totes have a unique serial number, which is a big help. This little number is supposed to be on a small white or black label inside the bag. The exact spot can change depending on the style, but for the Totes, it’s usually tucked away at the bottom of the interior pocket. Good to know!
Then, I started checking out different shops. Some online places had it, and then there were the actual stores like Breuninger and Douglas, where you can see the real thing in person. I saw some mentions of YOOX, too, and they seemed to have good reviews, but I was still a bit hesitant to buy online, especially from a platform like that. They are legit, I was being paranoid and overthinking it, which is quite typical for me.
I also stumbled upon some price comparison sites. I mean, who doesn’t love a good deal? But honestly, if the price is too good to be true, it probably is. I’d rather pay a bit more and be sure I’m getting the real thing, you know?
After all that research, I finally decided to go for it. I went to a shop and found the micro tote. It was a moment of truth. I flipped it open and started searching for that serial number. And there it was! Right where it was supposed to be, at the bottom of the inner pocket. Felt like a detective solving a case, haha.
Anyway, I compared it to the pictures I had seen, checked the stitching, the material, everything. And it all looked legit. So, I finally bought it! I’ve been using it for a while now, and I love it. It’s small, but it fits all my essentials. And it just looks so stylish.

Oh, and one more thing! I found out that the beauty brand, Marc Jacobs Beauty, which I thought was gone for good, is actually making a comeback! They were always tied in with the fragrances, which Coty has been making since, like, 2001, so it makes sense. I just found out that most of these perfumes could last from three to five years, some even ten! I have some from Chanel, and it’s also the same thing. Guess I know what I will try next.
So yeah, that’s my whole adventure with the Marc Jacobs Micro Tote. It was a bit of a journey, but totally worth it in the end. Just remember to do your research, check for that serial number, and don’t be afraid to treat yourself to something nice every now and then!
