Love Dooney Bourke Bag Vintage? Heres Where to Find Them!

Okay, so I’ve been wanting to get into vintage bags, and I thought I’d start with a Dooney & Bourke. I mean, they’re classic, right? Plus, I saw some going for decent prices online, so I figured, why not? I started by doing some quick searches to see what kind of styles they had. Browsed through a few websites, nothing too fancy, just to get a feel for what was out there. I found a bunch of different styles, but I was really drawn to the older ones, the ones that looked like they had a bit of history.

Looking for Clues

Once I had a general idea of what I wanted, I started digging deeper. I read somewhere that the older bags had tight, straight stitches and used yellow thread. Apparently, this yellow stitching can fade over time, which makes sense. It’s vintage, after all! I also learned that the tag inside could tell you where and when the bag was made. Cool, huh? Armed with this info, I felt ready to start the hunt. I checked out a few online shops, mainly the ones that seemed to specialize in vintage stuff. Let me tell you, there were a lot of options. It was a little overwhelming at first, but I managed to narrow it down to a few bags that caught my eye.

Found It

After a couple of days of browsing and comparing, I finally found one that I really liked. It was a blue denim one, a small purse. The pictures looked good, the stitching was on point, and it even had a little bit of that faded yellow thread I was looking for. The description said it was in “very good” condition. The price seemed reasonable, especially compared to some of the other ones I saw. I decided to go for it. I placed the order, and a few days later, it arrived. It looked just like the pictures, maybe even better. I was so excited! It felt good to hold something with a bit of history. Now, I just need to figure out how to style it. Maybe I’ll pair it with some jeans and a simple top. What do you guys think? Any tips for a vintage newbie?
