Okay, folks, let’s talk about my little adventure with the Louis Vuitton Palm Springs MM backpack.
It all started with a serious need for a stylish, yet practical, backpack. I was tired of lugging around oversized totes that killed my shoulder. I wanted something chic, something that screamed “I have my life together” (even if I sometimes don’t!). I’d been eyeing the Palm Springs Mini, but then, BAM! I saw the MM and it was love at first sight. Bigger, better, bolder… I had to have it.
So, the hunt began. First step: I hit up the Louis Vuitton website. Just to, you know, drool over it and confirm the hefty price tag. Yep, still expensive. Okay, moving on.
Next: I checked out some pre-owned sites. I’m all about a good deal, and sometimes you can find these bags in amazing condition for a slightly less terrifying price. I scoured a few of them. Lots of Minis, not so many MMs. The ones I did find were either beat up or still crazy expensive.

- Even looked at some smaller consignment shops online.
Then: I started getting serious. I hit up some local consignment stores. You never know what treasures you might find! I spent a good Saturday afternoon going from shop to shop. Found a few vintage LV pieces, but no Palm Springs MM. It was a little bit disappointed, but it’s the adventure, yes?
Finally: I went back to the Louis Vuitton store. Okay, I admit it, I went back several times, I tried it on, walked around the store with it, imagined all the places we’d go together. And, well, I caved. I swiped my credit card and that beautiful backpack was MINE. I used my credit card.
The unboxing was glorious. That new leather smell! The perfect stitching! It was even better than I imagined. I immediately transferred all my stuff from my old tote. Phone, wallet, makeup bag, snacks (essential!), even my small laptop fit perfectly. And, wow, it’s surprisingly comfortable to wear, even when it’s packed full.
My overall feeling!
Was it a splurge? Absolutely. Do I regret it? Not one bit. This backpack is the perfect combination of style and function. I use it every single day, and it still makes me happy every time I put it on. It’s a reminder that it’s okay to treat yourself sometimes, especially when it’s something that makes your life a little easier and a lot more stylish. It’s great!
