Alright, so you’re thinkin’ ’bout gettin’ yourself a fancy bag, huh? One of them Loo-ee Vitton ones. Heard they’re real popular with the city folk. Now, there’s two that got folks talkin’ – the Graceful and the Delightful. Sounds like somethin’ outta a church hymn, don’t it? But lemme tell ya, these bags ain’t for carryin’ no Bibles.

First off, let’s talk about the Graceful. This one’s kinda like a big ol’ sack, you know? The kind you can just throw everything in – your wallet, your phone, maybe even a snack for later. They say it’s a “hobo” bag. Don’t know why they call it that, ain’t nothin’ wrong with hobos, they just folks tryin’ to get by. Anyways, this Graceful bag, it’s got this “made in” stamp on it. Says “Loo-ee Vitton” and where it’s made. France, mostly. If it ain’t got that stamp, well, someone’s tryin’ to pull a fast one on ya.
Now, some folks say this Graceful bag, it wears out quick on the corners. See, it’s got these pointy bits on the bottom, and they rub against stuff when you’re walkin’ around. And that canvas, once it’s gone, it’s gone. Can’t fix it. So, you gotta be careful with it, I guess.
Then there’s the Delightful. It’s kinda like the Graceful, but not quite. Some say the strap on this one’s too short. Imagine that! A fancy bag you can’t even sling over your shoulder proper. And the bottom, it’s round, so it wears out too. And it can get heavy, real heavy, if you stuff it too full. But I reckon that’s true for any bag, ain’t it? You fill it with rocks, it’s gonna be heavy.
- Graceful: Big ol’ sack, comfy strap, pointy corners that wear out.
- Delightful: Kinda like the Graceful, but shorter strap, round bottom, can get heavy.
Now, you’re probably wonderin’, which one’s better? Well, that’s like askin’ whether you like apples or oranges. It all depends on what you want. You want a bag you can just throw everything in and go? Maybe the Graceful. You want somethin’ a little smaller, maybe the Delightful. But that strap, that short strap, that’s somethin’ to think about.
And let’s not forget about the size, neither. These bags, they come in different sizes. PM and MM, they call ’em. Petit Model and Moyen Model. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Basically, small and medium. So, you gotta figure out how much stuff you wanna carry. Me, I just need a bag big enough for my keys and a few dollars. But you city folk, you always carryin’ around all sorts of things.

One thing I heard about the Delightful is that the pipin’, that’s the little trim around the edges, it can get scuffed up. So, even if you get the Delightful, you ain’t guaranteed no problems. Seems like these fancy bags, they ain’t as tough as they look.
Some folks, they like the Neverfull better than both of ’em. But that’s a whole ‘nother story. The straps are too thin, they say, hurt your shoulders. And they wear out quick. See? Nothin’s perfect. You just gotta pick your poison.
So, there you have it. The Graceful and the Delightful. Two fancy bags, both got their good points and their bad points. You just gotta decide what’s important to you. Me? I’ll stick with my old canvas tote. It ain’t fancy, but it gets the job done. And it don’t cost an arm and a leg neither.
But hey, if you got the money and you want a fancy bag, go for it. Just remember what I told ya. Watch out for them corners, and that strap. And make sure it’s got that “made in” stamp. Otherwise, you’re just gettin’ ripped off. And nobody wants that.
