Lorier Hydra SIII GMT: New diver watch easy guide to know about this hot watch right now!

Well, folks, let me tell you about this little adventure I had with the Lorier Hydra SIII GMT. You know, I’ve always been a bit of a watch guy, more into the vintage stuff, but this one caught my eye.

So, I heard about Lorier, this husband-and-wife team making watches out in New York City. They started back in 2017, all about that vintage vibe. They make a watch as a companion—the thing that goes with you the most. Seemed pretty cool, right? They’ve got this whole thing about making watches that feel like they’ve been with you through thick and thin.

I stumbled upon their new GMT model, the Hydra SIII GMT. Sounded fancy. I did a little digging. They talk about this “GMT watch revolution,” like it’s some big deal. I guess it is if you’re into that kind of thing.

How I Ordered It

Anyway, I decided to pull the trigger and order one. The process was pretty straightforward. Filled out the usual info – name, address, card details. You know the drill. Then came the waiting game. It wasn’t too bad, actually. I got the shipping confirmation pretty quick, and they kept me updated with tracking and stuff.

When it finally arrived, I was like a kid on Christmas morning. Ripped open the box, and there it was, the Hydra SIII GMT. Looked pretty slick, I gotta say. It came with a nice little booklet and some tools to adjust the bracelet. Which, by the way, was a bit of a pain to do, but I managed.

Actually Wearing It

Is it worth it?

Honestly, I’m still on the fence. It’s a nice watch, no doubt. But is it groundbreaking? Not really. It’s a solid GMT watch, and it’s got a good story behind it. I think the price point for me is also very attractive. If you’re looking for something different, and you like the idea of supporting a small, independent watchmaker, then yeah, check it out.

But if you’re expecting some kind of revolutionary timepiece, you might be a little disappointed. For me, it’s a good everyday watch, and it’s a conversation starter. That’s good enough for me. Plus, it’s fun to wear something that not everyone has seen before.
