Well, let me tell ya ’bout these here Air Jordan 12 shoes. Folks call ’em “pics of Jordan 12” online, I reckon. I ain’t too sure ’bout all this fancy computer stuff, but my grandson, he showed me some pitchers. Said they’re real popular with the young’uns.
Now, these shoes, they ain’t like the ones I used to wear back in the day. We had them plain ol’ work boots, sturdy and strong, for toilin’ in the fields. These Jordans, they got all sorts of colors and designs. My grandson says there’s a “Taxi” colorway, like a yeller car, I guess. He showed me this “Taxi Flip” thing too, sounds kinda like a pancake gone wrong if you ask me.
- There’s even a “Blueberry” one, like them little blue fruits we used to pick in the summer. Lord, they were sweet, them blueberries. But shoes, blueberry colored? That’s somethin’ else, ain’t it?
- And some fella named Cam’ron, he got his own colorway. Don’t know who he is, some singer or rapper, my grandson says. Made these shoes popular with the gals and boys, and even the little kids! Imagine that! Little tykes runnin’ ’round in fancy sneakers. Back in my day, we went barefoot most of the summer.
They say these shoes came out in 2016, that Cam’ron one, and there’s older ones too, way back. My grandson, he talks about “OGs,” means the first ones, I think. Like the original “Taxi” colorway, plain yellow and black, like a real taxi, I guess. They even put some gold on ’em sometimes, make ’em all shiny and fancy-like.
Now, where to get these shoes? My grandson, he’s always lookin’ at them on his phone. Says there’s places called GOAT and StockX and Flight Club. Sounds like a bunch of birds and sticks to me! But he says they sell all sorts of Jordans, different sizes, even big ol’ size 12s for them fellas with big feet. Prices? Don’t even ask! My grandson just shakes his head and says they cost a pretty penny.
He tells me they even got a whole history, these Jordans. Like some kinda storybook or somethin’. Design details, they call it. I just see shoes, but he sees somethin’ more, somethin’ special. He talks about impact, like these shoes changed the world or somethin’. Well, they ain’t changed my world much, I still gotta get up and make my biscuits in the mornin’, but I guess they mean somethin’ to the young folks.
So, these “pics of Jordan 12,” they’re more than just shoes, see? They’re like… well, I don’t rightly know what they’re like. But they got folks excited, that’s for sure. All these different colors and styles, “Taxi,” “Blueberry,” Cam’ron’s thing, and all them others. It’s a whole different world from the one I grew up in, that’s for sure. But if it makes the young’uns happy, well, I guess that’s all that matters. They’re always lookin’ for the new, the latest, the best. And these Jordan 12s, seems like they fit the bill, for now anyways.
Just remember, though, no matter how fancy your shoes are, you still gotta put one foot in front of the other. That’s the real truth of it.
