So, I was digging through some old boxes the other day, and guess what I found? My old workout logs from 2015! It was a trip down memory lane, especially seeing my notes on the adidas gear I was using back then. Let me tell you, it brought back some memories.

Getting Started My Gear Collection
I remember I started 2015 with a big push to get in better shape. I went all in. I invested in some new workout clothes and shoes. Naturally I went and bought some new adidas gear and some old stuff I kept found itself back in rotation.
My Main Gear Pieces
- Shoes: I had these running shoes, I think they were some version of the Energy Boost. I put so many miles on those things. I remember I loved the cushioning, it was great and felt very comfortable.
- Shorts: Oh man, I had several pairs of these basic ClimaCool shorts. The best. They were lightweight and perfect for any workout, Super breathable.
- Shirts: Mostly ClimaLite t-shirts. I picked up a bunch in different colors. Anything to keep me cool when I started to sweat a lot.
- Other Things:I also used to wear that adidas techfit compression shirt. The one I had was an older model, I think. I liked to wear it for my longer runs, but I don’t remember if it really did anything.
Tracking My Workouts
Back then, I used this simple paper notebook to track what I did every day. I would write down the date, the type of workout, how long I did it, and any notes about how I was feeling. I used to track my run distances and times. I would also jot down quick thoughts like, “Felt great today!” or “Legs were super sore.”
Seeing the Progress (and Setbacks)
Going through the log, it was interesting to see my progress. There were weeks where I was totally killing it, hitting the gym almost every day and going on long runs. And then, of course, there were those times where I fell off the wagon – maybe I got busy with work, or I just wasn’t feeling motivated. It’s all part of the journey, right?
The Takeaway
It was fun to look back at this old stuff. It reminds me that even when things get tough, it’s worth it to keep pushing. And hey, good gear helps. Those adidas clothes and shoes really held up. I mean, I used those shorts and shirts and shoes until I wore holes in them! Looking back at all of that, I think I will start to keep a log again.
