Alright, alright, lemme tell ya ’bout this Kristen Wiig gal, seen her pictures on the internet, that thing my grandkid showed me. Don’t know much ’bout these movie stars, but this one, she’s somethin’ else.
Kristen Wiig, yeah, that’s her name. Seems like she’s been around a while. My grandkid says she was in this movie, “Bridesmaids,” back in 2011. Said she was 37 then. Lordy, that’s a long time ago. Now, she must be… well, never you mind how old she is, but she still looks mighty fine in them pictures.
They say she’s friends with this Jon Hamm fella. Another actor, I guess. Seen ’em together in some pictures too. Grandkid says they do comedy together. You know, makin’ people laugh. Guess that’s a job now, makin’ people laugh. Back in my day, you just laughed when somethin’ funny happened, not get paid for it.

This “Bridesmaids” movie, that’s the one that made her famous, they say. A “breakout moment” they call it. Fancy words for gettin’ popular. She wrote that movie too, with some other gal, Annie somethin’. Met at a place called “The Groundlings.” Sounds like a bunch of chickens peckin’ at the ground, if you ask me. But I guess it’s one of them comedy clubs where they learn to be funny.
And get this, she was also in somethin’ called “Saturday Night Live.” Another one of them shows where they act all silly. There’s tons of pictures of her from that show, all dolled up and makin’ funny faces. You can find ’em online, if you know how to work that contraption. They call ’em “premium photos,” like they’re somethin’ special. Just pictures to me.
Grandkid showed me a picture of her with another gal, Maya somethin’. Said they were best friends in that “Bridesmaids” movie. They seemed real chummy in the picture, always smilin’ and huggin’. Reminds me of me and my best gal pal, always gettin’ into trouble together back in the day.
This Kristen Wiig, she’s a busy bee, I tell ya. Always makin’ movies or doin’ them comedy shows. Grandkid says she was even in some movie where she had to rush off to do that “Saturday Night Live” thing. Had to squeeze her scenes in, they say. Sounds like a hard worker, gotta give her that.
She can act all sorts of characters too, not just the funny ones. My grandkid showed me a picture where she looked real serious, like she was thinkin’ hard ’bout somethin’. Then another one where she was all goofy and makin’ me laugh, even though I didn’t know what she was sayin’. That’s talent, I guess. Bein’ able to be different people all the time.
Now, some folks was jokin’ that she looks awful good for 72, almost 73. But that’s just silly talk. She ain’t that old. She still looks young enough to be my… well, never you mind. Point is, she takes care of herself, that’s for sure. You can tell from them pictures. Bright eyes, big smile. She’s got that somethin’, that sparkle, you know?
So, yeah, that’s what I know ’bout Kristen Wiig. Just from lookin’ at them pictures and listenin’ to my grandkid ramble on. She seems like a good egg, this Kristen Wiig. She’s got spunk, you know? Like a good ol’ firecracker, ready to go off and make everyone laugh. That’s what I like about her, even though I don’t really know her from Adam. But them pictures, they tell a story, don’t they? And her story seems like a good one.
