Okay, so today I’m diving into the ’90s supermodel vibe, specifically channeling Kristen McMenamy. I love her unique look, so I thought, why not try to recreate it? First off, I gotta say, this woman is an icon.
I started by digging through my makeup stash. I found some old stuff I haven’t used in ages, which is perfect because I need that kind of pale, almost ghostly base. I slapped on a foundation that’s way too light for my normal skin tone – but it did the trick!
Then came the eyebrows. Or, well, the lack of eyebrows. Kristen’s known for her super thin, almost invisible brows. So, I grabbed some concealer and tried to cover mine up as much as possible. It wasn’t perfect, but I think I got the general idea across.
Eyes and Lips
- Used a dark, kinda smudgy eyeshadow.
- Skipped the eyeliner because that’s not really her thing.
- Went heavy on the mascara, though, to get those dramatic lashes.
For lips, I opted for a dark, almost black lipstick. I remember buying this shade years ago and never wearing it, but it’s spot on for this look. I lined my lips with a black pencil first, just to make sure it looked extra sharp.
The hair was a bit of a challenge. My hair is not as bright as hers, so I rummaged through my closet, found a wig. It’s not exactly the same, but it gave me the general feel. I teased it a bit to get that kind of messy, undone look she often rocks.
Finally, I threw on a simple black dress. I figured that’s something she would wear. And you know what? I actually kinda liked the whole look. It’s definitely not something I’d wear every day, but it was fun to step outside my comfort zone and try something different. I even took some photos, pretending I was on a photoshoot. It made me feel the vibe, haha.

It’s amazing how makeup and styling can totally transform you. I don’t think I look exactly like Kristen McMenamy, but I definitely captured a bit of her ’90s essence. Mission accomplished, I guess!
