Alright, alright, let’s chew the fat about them Korean movie stars and all that fixing-up they do. You know, the nose jobs, the eye stuff, all that jazz. Folks call it “plastic surgery,” sounds fancy, but it’s just plain old fixing, like patching up a hole in your trousers, ain’t it?

Them Korean Stars and Their New Looks
Now, I ain’t got nothin’ against lookin’ good. If a fella wants to fix his crooked nose or a gal wants to perk up her eyes, that’s their business. But in that Korea place, seems like everyone’s doin’ it. They say it’s the “plastic surgery capital of the world,” imagine that! Like a big ol’ fix-it shop for faces.
- Eye Fixin’ (Double Eyelid Surgery): Lots of them, especially the gals, they get their eyelids done. Make ’em bigger, wider, more like them Western movie stars, I reckon. They call it “double eyelid surgery,” sounds complicated, but it’s just makin’ them eyes pop more.
- Nose Fixin’ (Rhinoplasty): Then there’s the nose. Plenty of folks get their noses fixed. Straighten ’em out, make ’em smaller, sharper. If your nose is like a bumpy potato, they can smooth it out like a nice, shiny apple.
- Chin Fixin’ (Chin Augmentation): And the chins! Some folks got weak chins, you see, so they get ’em plumped up. Makes their face look stronger, I guess. Like buildin’ a little wall on your jaw.
- Face Shapin’ (Facial Contouring): And then there’s the whole face fixin’. Some of them get their jaw shaved down, cheek bones lifted or filled, it all makes their whole face change shape. Like mouldin’ dough to look different, I tell you.
Who’s Had What Done? The Big Mystery
Now, you can’t always tell who’s had what done. They get good at it, them doctors. Make it look all natural, like you was born with that perfect nose and them sparkly eyes. But folks gossip, you know. They whisper about this actress and that actor, sayin’ “Oh, she definitely had her eyes done,” or “He got a new nose, for sure.”
Take that Lee Min-Jung gal, for example. Folks say she’s a “natural beauty,” but there’s always them whispers, you know? “Did she or didn’t she?” It’s like a game, tryin’ to figure out who’s had what fixed. Like spottin’ a fake coin in a bag full of real ones, tricky business, it is.

Why They Do It: The Pressure to Look Perfect
Now, why do they do it, all this fixin’ and fussin’? Well, I reckon it’s the pressure. Being on TV, in them movies, everyone’s lookin’ at you. And if you ain’t perfect, they’ll find someone else who is. It’s a tough business, show business. Like a beauty contest that never ends.
And it ain’t just the actors, even the singers, like that Jessi gal who sings them rap songs. She came right out and talked about gettin’ fixed up. Said it plain as day. Now, that’s honest, I’ll give her that. At least she ain’t hidin’ it.
The Downside: When Things Go Wrong
But sometimes, things go wrong.
