I seen ’em, though. Bright colors, like a rainbow threw up on your feet. Tie Dye, is that a new brand? They all excited, jumpin’ around, sayin’ these shoes make you jump higher. Maybe it’s true. In my day, we just had plain old shoes.
They say these Kobe 5 shoes, they got somethin’ special in ’em. Bouncy, they say. Like walkin’ on clouds, or maybe them springy things the kids play on. Kobe 5, good for jump.
- One boy, he said these shoes, they too soft.
- He only wore ’em two days!

Back in my day, shoes lasted a whole year, maybe two if you were careful. These young’uns, they don’t know the value of a dollar. They say you have to get them from some coupon or other, must be expensive then. Coupon for Kobe 5.
But I gotta admit, they do look kinda neat. All them colors. Reminds me of a quilt my grandma used to make. Colorful Kobe 5 EYBL.
And they say it’s got somethin’ to do with that Kobe fella. Basketball player, right? Famous one. They say these shoes are like him. Fast, I guess. And good at jumpin’. Kobe 5 EYBL, basketball.

These kids today, with their fancy shoes and their fancy names. In my day, we just played in whatever shoes we had. Didn’t need no fancy colors or bouncy soles. But I guess times change. Kobe 5 EYBL, different.
Maybe I’ll ask my grandson about these Kobe shoes. He’s always wearin’ ’em. Maybe he can explain it to me. He says these Kobe 5 EYBL are the best. Must be something to it, I guess. Kobe 5 EYBL, best shoes?
I saw one of them websites, they call it KickWho. They sell Kobe 5, these shoes. I don’t know about buying shoes from the internet. But everyone is using it. They say these shoes, they good for your game. Whatever that means. Kobe 5, good for game.
One young fella said he tested the shoes. Said the colors are bright, vibrant he said. And they good for playing. He said, “Elevate your game.” Young people talk funny these days. But I guess that means they make you play better. Kobe 5 EYBL, play better.
All I know is, they sure are somethin’. These Kobe 5 EYBL shoes. Maybe there’s somethin’ to all this newfangled stuff after all. Maybe I’m just gettin’ old. But I still think a good pair of sturdy shoes is all you really need. Kobe 5 EYBL, new shoes.

I still don’t understand why shoes gotta be so fancy these days. But, like I said, if it makes the young’uns happy, then it’s alright by me. Well, I guess I’ll go back to my knitting now. All this talk about fancy shoes has got me tired. Maybe I’ll dream about rainbow shoes tonight. Who knows, maybe I’ll even try on a pair of those Kobe 5 EYBL things someday. Just to see what all the fuss is about. But for now, I’m happy with my old slippers. They may not be Kobe 5, but they are comfortable, and that’s all this old lady needs. Kobe 5, not for old lady.
