Today, I tried to apply for a TPT license. I heard it was called JT-1, so that’s what I did.
First, I went to the website and found the JT-1 form. I figured out it was a Joint Tax Application, which made sense. I downloaded it, no problem. It was a simple PDF file.
Then, I started filling out the form. It asked for a lot of information, like business name, address, and the type of business activity. I filled everything in as best as I could. I made sure to double-check all the details because I didn’t want any mistakes.
After I filled out the form, I had to figure out how to send it. The instructions said I could either mail it or go in person. I don’t really like waiting for mail, so I decided to go to their office.
I looked up the address and drove there. It wasn’t too far, which was good. I parked my car and went inside. There was a person at the front desk, and I told them I had a JT-1 form to submit.
They took my form and looked it over. They asked me a few questions to make sure everything was correct, and then they gave me a receipt. They said it would take a few weeks to process, but I should get my TPT license in the mail.
Overall, it wasn’t too bad of an experience. It took a little bit of time, but I got it done. Now, I just have to wait for my license to arrive. I’m excited to finally get this done, it will open a lot of opportunities for me.
