Okay, so I recently got my hands on the Jordan 12 Retro Chinese New Year (2019). Man, what a journey it was, I tell you what.
It all started when I saw some buzz online about these shoes. I saw some talk about how 2022 was the 25th year of Jordan Brand in China. I remember the Air Jordan 12 first came out in 1997, which was the same year that the Jordan Brand was released in China. I thought the coincidence was cool. Then I saw some pictures of the shoes and I was hooked. The black and white colorway with that iconic stitching, you know, the one everyone recognizes on Jordan 12s? It looked so clean, so fresh. I had to have them.
I started looking around. I looked at a lot of places and finally found a pair I liked. But you know how it is with these limited releases – prices can be a bit wild. But I’m thinking I needed to celebrate this big anniversary in my life with something special, and I managed to snag a pair that wouldn’t totally break the bank.
When the package arrived, I ripped that box open like a kid on Christmas morning. There they were, in all their glory. The quality was just amazing. The details, the colors… it was all perfect. I even saw a pair of “Wolf Grey” set for release, but nah, the CNY edition had my heart.
